I just updated my spreadsheet. If you look at the day of the dental, at plus 3 he was blue, 20 min later was pink. Could they bounce that quickly or do we think the blue was a false reading?

I'd be suspicious of the strips or the meter at that point...that's unlikely unless he was eating ice cream or something super sugary...not very likely....

I just tested pmps on the relion as well since I got a wonky reading the eve of the dental on the at2. @Sue and Luci, you got me thinking if that was a one time thing or if all the readings have been off...

Relion was 232. Do you guys think my alpha track/strips are wonky? Or is that an appropriate variance (I know there is no way to really tell) Of course I can’t find the control solution for AT2

The pet meters generally read higher than human meters, in the higher numbers. Comparing meters will drive you nuts. Pick one and stick with it.

I totally agree with picking one meter, and of course the Relion strips are cheaper.

But regarding the meter/strips -- I don't know if Walmart will still send control solution for free like they used to since they aren't selling the Relion confirm/micro meter anymore, but they do still sell the Relion Prime... Maybe the control solution is the same? I don't know. But I believe you just called their customer support and asked for it. I think this is the right phone number on this page: https://www.relionbgm.com/prime-faq It might be worth calling and seeing if they can get you something for the future.

For the strips, are they unexpired? And do you keep them in their original container with the top snapped closed? We've had people put them in their pockets and such to carry them around. That's fine for a short time, but in general they should stay in their container since it contains a desiccant.
