Hi all!
Just checking in. We're doing pretty good, other than a bit of a diarrhea-a-thon this week. I know you can feed pumpkin for constipation, but what about the opposite problem?

I think it's safe to say our insulin has pooped out; it's time for a new dose! I'm just trying to figure out whether pens or another vial is more economical way to go on our dose.

Hope you've all had a super TGIF and have a great weekend!

I believe it's the Fortiflora that is good for that. (besides being a great appetite stimulant) Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Hope tonite's cycle goes smoothly
and Sushi feels better.

Some people use slippery elm bark for diarrhea. I know pumpkin works for diarrhea in dogs, haven't tried it for cats. Hope Sushi feels better soon and doesn't get dehydrated.

Good luck with the new insulin.

I would order FortiFlora. The only place I've ever gotten it is at the vet's office (where they overcharge) or on-line -- Amazon, Entirely Pets, etc. Any probiotic will help with diarrhea. If you're near a Whole Foods, you can see if they have ReNew Ultimate in the refrigerated supplements section. (You use about 1/3 of a capsule twice a day.) Some people have used plain, unsweetened yogurt with live cultures to help with diarrhea, as well.

I'd also see about giving a different food just in case you have a bad batch of food. Check to see if you've been feeding from the same lot of food. If so, switch to a different lot and see if the problem clears up.

With Sushi's dose, I suspect the pens will be more economical.
