Morning ~O) ~O) Maggie was a happy camper last night, as I gave her a tsp of FF Turkey & Giblets after the pm +5 at 119, as I needed some sleep. It was just enough mc to hold her and keep her from dropping. All P's are in place this morning, even lb, and the little sweetheart is curled up in a ball on the footstool of my recliner. I predict this will be a nice low blue surf day, nothing ever too dramatic for Maggie, just a really mellow kitty and always so grateful and loving. It's a little to early to know what I'm doing today, but I didn't make it to the pet store yesterday, so that's on my notepad. Hope everyone has a nice Wednesday.

Whew! That surprised me, as I was expecting a nice calm surf. She was eating fast, so I suspected she might be low. I rarely check at the +2, unless she has a low pre shot, but she may have been dropping at the +2.
I didn't feed any mc or hc, just her regular lc Nature's Variety food, so she came up on her own.

:-D That's for sure, Ella! Maggie came up so nice with the 89, but it was a big drop blood. I'm going to test again. She was sleeping when I just tested and didn't bother asking for a treat.

Well, after the shock of the 71 at +3, it looks like now Maggie will surf the greens and rise slowly, if my predicition is correct, but I'm done predicting for now. Maggie is still eating Nature's Variety and had a so so lb deposit, so maybe it isn't the NV's fault. I wish I knew if I should leave some mc for her or if she will stay in the 80's.

I just Googled Montmorillonite Clay and find a wealth of health-related articles (and articles on how it cleans up industrial pollution). I don't know. It sounds like people have used it for centuries to cleanse the body. But I don't think I would feel comfortable using it, or giving it to Rusty. One of the web pages cautions against using it in conjunction with certain drugs, but doesn't name them. Check this out: http://www.eytonsearth.org/drinking-clay-internal-use.php

Thanks for all the clay info, Ann and Ella. Nothing like adding a little more confusion to the pot, eh??? Trixie seemed to enjoy today's fresh can of Instinct, and her BGs are so good on it. It figures some sort of monkey wrench has to be tossed in there! I think I'm still going to stick with it for her, since she's doing well for the moment...but none for Frankie. If it's not the clay that caused Frankie's constipation, it's something else. Like I said, she also had the same response to By Nature Organics, too, but is fine with Wellness (which, of course, raises Trix's BGs...heaven forbid should they be able to eat the same food!!!)

Well, I messed up Maggie's green surf a little. I ran out for a bit and left a tsp of FF T & G so I wouldn't have to worry, and being so carb sensitive, it did the job. I think she would have been okay with just the lc, but I never know what might happen while I'm gone like car trouble, etc. The afternoons are bad here with the parking. We don't have our own parking spaces. It's first come, first serve.

Hi Ella, thanks for further researching the "Montmorillonite Clay"; I was interested in your thoughts as I know you were researching ingredients of foods for Rusty. That does make me pause with the ingredient. It's too bad they had to add that ingredient. I wonder if any of the other foods have it in their food. Maggie loves it so much, and it's been great with her bg. :YMSIGH:

Hi Amy, yes it is confusing for me, too, as this is about the only food she's crazy about, except for some of the FF. I like it as it's very brothy.

Hi Linda & Weezer, yes she gave me a short trip pass today. :-D She said to hurry back home.

Hi again, Ann,

Check out Rusty's condo again with regard to M-Clay. Ann (Tess) and Tracy (Leo) have some very interesting things to say!! Also Barbara (Tuffy) told me in a P.M. what her vet-tech, holistic- medicine daughter has to say about herbal and other remedies and I paraphrased it in Rusty's condo.
