I'm not sure if there is a question or if just wanting to keep Eddie's situation current and in play because of his adventures into the BLUE zone of normalcy.

Link to yesterday's story, which saw us go into the BLUE zone until I stopped testing @ 3:30 this morning:
    https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/10-18-eddie-amps-270-4-157.254391/

Eddie seems to want to level out and stay steady, at least during the day and into the night, and then have a rise somewhere between 3:30 am and 8:00-8:30 am since today's AMPS was 254. But now, here we are, at lunchtime (I haven't fed him yet) at a very respectable 121.

This is quite encouraging (where it comes to SRT effects). I'm almost afraid to jinx things by hoping.

It is better to just have a question mark up when you have a specific question. That will draw attention to it. Otherwise people will just assume you forgot to remove the "?" and not see that there is a new question.

Eddie looks like he's becoming more used to those lovely blues. Do you notice any difference in behaviour?

Actually, yes, I find that, with the exception of food time [lots of food-driven meowing and circling] that he is more social and more apt to come out of the one room he's been inhabiting.

I removed the "?". Thank you. Am getting better trained. :)

    Another test soon?

When the cabergoline started kicking in we started seeing some +11/+12 nadirs, curious if Eddie is heading that way

Leave some food out while you are gone, to help him stay safe.

I can't believe I have to go out on the threshold of possible reduction. I fed him dinner so he should be good untll I'm back (1.5 hours).

    Well, back home and he's +11 166.
Is this a good thing? I don't think it means reduction, does it?

It hard to say with that gap in testing, my lips are zipped until Wendy comes by lol If he didn't get one today, I suspect tonight or tomorrow (unless bounce is coming).

    Let's see what PMPS is.

Ok, a little disappointed; he's at PMPS 250. Le sigh.

So, continue with 13u, I suppose.

But look at his progress the last 10 days!

If Wendy doesn't stop by, 13U would be my thought, with a +2.

Ok, I did go with 13U and will check at +2.

One thing makes me curious. I know that Prednisolone works against insulin. Eddie has to take Prednisolone because of his pituitary removal. Last night, when I was doing the long game of BG tests up until 3:30, I realized I had forgotten to give Eddie his Prednisolone @ 9:30 and ended up giving it to him after I tested him. I wonder if the lateness had anything to do with the higher numbers today.

Could be, little hard to say yet. Every cat seems to react to pred differently. It would help if you note it in spreadsheet and signature though so we know. Some cats manage to stay flat on it (like Comet here on the Lantus forum), others tend to go higher after dose is given then slowly wanes (like Ruby, also on this forum). Some find that BID dosing works better to keep them flatter, but idk if that's an option for hypophysectomy after care.

Bit of a bounce. PMPS +2 263. Maybe we won't bounce so high, though.
