This is one of those days where you wish you could give an extra shot midway in the cycle. Poor little Champers did so well last night, kept me up all night long, and even had a decent AMPS, but then just started a major climb to the top of the diabetes mountain!! One thing I learned last night is that FF Gravy Lover's chicken doesn't do much to lower his BG right after he eats it. He ended up eating a whole can in the process of trying to keep him above 50 last night, but it didn't seem to have any effect until he hit his nadir. Maybe today's numbers are the cumulative effect of eating so much of that food last night. I won't be using it again anyway since it didn't do what I needed it to do....bring up the BGs just a swidge and let him surf with just a tiny bit in his system. The beef flavor of the Gravy Lover's worked perfectly so I'll just use that from now on. These numbers haven't made Champ feel very well, either. Little guy just laid around in his bed most of the morning, not sleeping. He finally fell asleep and then slept like the dead until I woke him up with the poke at +11 just now. Oh, excuse me, he's gotten into his kitty bed in my office and has gone back to sleep. I sure hope we get back on that awesome track we were on. I've been losing a lot of sleep, but he's been looking so good...I want it BACK!!!

I hope everyone has had a great day and will continue to have a great night!!

Maybe Champ is in the midst of a bounce after that lovely green surf. I've reached the point where I don't carb Trix unless she falls below 50, or if she's already fallen below 50 during the morning and doesn't need to "prove" anything during the evening cycle.

I'm sure you'll be back on track before you know it!

nice night last night - sorry for the bounce today... come on down Champ - Mannie is waiting for you at the green lagoon.

I have had the same experience with the chicken in the GLovers too... beef works better for Mannie too.

I'm so glad he's been heading down that green railroad track again but sorry on the no snoozey for you. I know how hard it is when you have to get up and work the next day. Ever wonder
why they can't do the great cycles during the day and any bouncing at night???

(((patty))) I miss talking to you!!!

isn't that the truth - how about throwing those low numbers during the day? it's nothing to deal with them then! the night is always a bigger deal.

do you like to use karo at all? i've added just a tsp or less to the gravy to pull up punkin and it works, it just doesn't last. the gravy from the food lasts longer.

hoping you get to sleep tonight!
