Hope you and the fur babies are settling in the new digs :). I was wondering about Chewie's sebaceous cysts and related irritation you previously mentioned. Did you start the hunt for a new Vet? So much on your plate :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: sorry if I'm piling on

Thanks Angela :bighug: we are settling in well, waiting for all the furniture to arrive on Tuesday! I can't wait to have a couch again, and I'm sure the cats will be thrilled to get their cat trees back (they also own the couch during the day).

Oddly enough, Chewie's cysts seem less irritated than they were before, they are a little less firm, I think they have been oozing. The vet said I could use warm compresses and try to squeeze as much material out as possible, and use chlorhexidine wipes to keep it clean. I haven't dared mess with them yet, I'm giving Chewie a bit of time to recover from the trip before I start risking life and limbs messing with her boo-boos :p
She became so oily seemingly overnight a couple of years ago, within a couple of months she had grown several of those oily cysts, her chin is always greasy and I have to clean it regularly or she'll get chin acne... made me wonder about an endocrine disorder, but she displays none of their symptoms. Now she also started growing tiny ones in the areas where I inject insulin, despite my making sure I rotate the sites. So weird. I ordered both the chlorhexidine wipes and an omega 3 supplement, hopefully that'll keep it under control...
