I heard a pitter pitter patter of little tiny feet behind me when I was drawing, and noticed that she was chasing a moth that skittered across the floor. Luckily for the moth, it disappeared under the laundryroom door. I think that's the first time I've seen her chase anything since her diagnosis.
There's a stray cat (black/white tuxedo tom that we've named Mr. Mister), that's been hanging out in the barn. He has an injured right hind... Looks like a cut between one of the pads and his toenail. I've been treating it by holding Mr. Mister by the scruff, and dunking his foot into a container of peroxide for as long as he'll let me (usually about 30 seconds or perhaps a bit longer). I took a look at it this morning, and it appears to be nice and pink, but the foot's still swelled. No swelling in the ankle or higher. He's cleaning it, too, which is good. His demeanor is sweetnatured, and he's a purr bucket. He normally hangs out at the house, but lately he's decided that the hay is a good bed. Fine with me. Unfortunately, he roams, and I don't see him until the next morning, when he'll be treated again. DH won't allow me to take him to the vet as we're not sure where he comes from, and he's not ours. He's ok with my treating his foot with peroxide, though. So, peroxide treatments he'll continue to receive until he can fully walk on it again.
Bean's tired. Bean's working on first cup of
. Bean's not tired because of kitty. Bean's tired because of manthing keeping bean awake, so bean had to vacate bed, and allow manthing to get to sleep. He suffers from RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome), and won't do anything about it (also makes excuses). Bean's grumpy. Bean hates taking naps during the day, however, bean may make an exception today. Bean will see.
MY WISH: For God to help those ailing make a full and speedy recovery... For God to help heal the broken hearts of those who lost a beloved pet and/or human... For everyone to have great #s... For everyone to be OTJ.
