How quickly, Donaleen? When Bob was getting fluids, the "hump" went away within an hour or so. But many times, all part of it did was "slide down" around his armpits I guess you'd call them. Like he was carrying a water saddle instead of a hump. Usually, all signs of the added fluids went away within an hour or two, and he was getting them at least every other day for a while. He wasn't really dehydrated for much of the time he got fluids. They were a way to "deliver" supplements rather than a way to rehydrate him. Looking back on it, I probably could have just gone with the pills for supplements, but I already had bags of fluids that had them added, so I used them.
Are you shooting insulin and giving fluids in different locations? You probably are but thought I'd ask to make sure.
