After being out of town for 2 1/2 days and leaving Mr.Cat with a sitter, he is still doing OK! Whew!

Thanks! It was my 20th college reunion... fun but surreal. It takes a minute to recognize people!
I will be leaving town again this weekend for my cousin's wedding so I hope the cat sitter continues to do a good job.

I left Honey with DH a few weeks ago and he couldn't get blood or give a shot - he said Honey was 'evil'

Awww.... that is terrible (but also a little funny that your DH thought Honey was evil - hardly! 
. Maybe Honey was picking up on your DH's stress. We give Mr.Cat his shots and tests in one chair in the kitchen. So he knows his "spot" for shots and testing. When I was out of town last month, my DH did it and he had no trouble with the shots, though he said that Mr.Cat wouldn't let him test sometimes. That's a tough one!
My cat sitter is a tech at my vet clinic. Maybe you can try someone at your vet's office? They can usually take care of the shots. Good luck!
