Happy Tuesday!! Sending many prayers of condolences to Libby and Sue. We are so very sorry for your losses. Also sending healing vines to Jupe, Ozy, Randi's Chloe, Amy's Noah, Lyresa's KT, Dakota, Leo, and Spike and any others who need them. And "keep eating" vines to Miss Ripley.

Missy G has been feeling great! She's been playful, purry, and extra lovey. She slept in between her daddy's legs last night because she was probably cold AND she loves to snuggle. Mama is too much like a Tazmanian Devil at night to sleep between her legs...it's dangerous for an itty bitty girl. :lol: :lol: :lol: We had a good race around the house this morning, a few Halloween kitty postures thrown in for extra fun, and now nap time. We're not sure where that crazy yellow came from yesterday but I didn't want it to go any higher so I gave her just a titch of R to get her back down in nice numbers. Hopefully, her dose increase from Sunday will start to kick in here and we'll see good numbers again. LBG needs to be extra thankful to mama because she had a vetty appt today just for a recheck after last month's illness but she's doing so great, I just didn't have the heart to put her through it.

So....poor Gus....he took her appt :lol: :lol: :lol: Dr. B wanted to recheck him anyway and her schedule is really swamped so he got the honor of visiting the clinic. He is doing so great :-D :-D :-D :-D He's alert, active, eating well. I don't know if it's the pred or the a/b or the liver shake or what. All I know is we have our Gussie feeling great and staying with us for more time and that makes us happy.

I had to work this morning for four hours to do our furlough shutdown. So, as of noon today, I am furloughed. I am keeping all my fellow federal workers in my prayers; we will be ok financially but many of them will be hit really, really hard. Yesterday turned out to be very busy so i didn't get to post a condo or the pics of Josie's visit. So I hope you will enjoy them below....how can you not enjoy that megawatt smile that goes with her beautiful personality?

Hard to imagine the Principessa should be shy around Auntie Josie. Gussie sure leaves no doubt! :-D

What beautiful pictures!!! I love how Gracie looks like she wants to play chase, but Gussie is SOOOO settled in...that is one relaxed kitty!!! I'm so glad they're all doing well!!

I'm glad Josie's visit went well. It looks like the kitties enjoyed her visit. It's so good to hear Gus is doing better.

I had no idea Gus was that big. He looks long enough to warm two laps! Bob is maybe half that long (but easily twice as wide) :lol:

Looks like the R did the trick. :-D

How nice to hear how well Gus is doing and how Gracie is managing to avoid her vetty visit. Good show, Gracie! Lovely pics of Josie and her fans.

and hmmm.... my dh's furlough starts Monday as do all the other lab type facilities.... Sandia, Livermore... etc...

So we went to see Gravity in 3D at the Imax ~ I'm still trying to catch my breath :shock:

Ooh, I hope that didn't sound bad when I said it. :oops: Obviously, Josie isn't "wide". But Gussie looks longer than the chair is wide. And I'm guessing Marje doesn't have hobbit-sized furniture in her house. ;-)

I didn't realize so many people here would be directly affected by this stupid shutdown furlough nightmare. My daughter is on "active duty" in the Navy, and still in school, so she isn't furloughed. If it isn't over by the time she graduates next month, however, she'll sort of be stuck in limbo because her orders won't get processed. The big problem where she is is that sailors keep graduating, and can't go anywhere. And others keep graduating boot camp and moving across the base to start school. So instead of two people per room, they are stacking them five deep.

I'm just glad my job is with a state government and not a federal job.

Carl....while Josie is petite, Gussie is a big guy. Well....he's long and tall with long legs but he's lost a lot of weight. He was a pretty imposing figure in his younger days. He's still extremely handsome with that big head of his. Gracie looks so adorable next to him because she is so little. I think Josie was even surprised at how little she actually is. I don't call her "little brown girl" for no reason....she is a small kitter.

I couldn't agree with you all more on the furlough. It's ridiculous and I don't know if we will get paid or not retroactively. Mike and I are ok because i'm only working one day a week anyway and he can fly one trip to make up for that. But I just worry about those who are not so fortunate. I did get info that we can file for unemployment but I'm not going to do it.

Jos, we miss you, too!!! Today Tobey got in his toy box and pulled out the same toys as the other day :lol: :lol: :lol: I put them back, stirred the toys around, and darn if he didn't pull out the SAME ones again! Smart boy!! I'm glad you and Will got to see Gravity....very good movie!!!!!!

here's hoping the furloughs are brief - it's costing us all a fortune every day and is only going to get worse. grrrrr.

Thanks for posting the pictures - so nice to put a face to a name, even beans! Gus and Gracie look adorable and I am so happy to hear that Gus is doing so much better!!

So glad you shared your photos. A picture really IS worth a thousand words. My Ozy is a big boy and our Pippin is REALLY small (less than 5.5 lb at two and a half years old).

Hope you enjoy your time off...
 
It's great to see LBG back to her usual numbers. Is she holding a PJ party tonight?

Love the pictures of the kitters and Josie. Gussie does look like a decent sized cat. Neko's a big boned cat too. The better to warm the entire lap. :-D
