Yesterday was so busy I didn't get a chance to post up. Her numbers looked good still though. This morning she was naughty and pushed Ariel out of the way and stole her treat. Ariel gets treats because I hide her Prednisone in it. Atticus didn't get the prednisone, but she stole about half the Whisker Lickin'... Hopefully her BG won't suffer. Darn cat! I can't seem to find a low carb treat that Atticus likes or I would be giving her more treats. She turns her nose up at everything though. Maybe one day I will find something for her.

In the meantime, my son bought two pet rats yesterday. They're kinda cute, I guess. He named them Crash and Burn, although I thought he should have named them Bubonic and Plague. He wasn't amused at all.

Have a good day everyone! Green and blue surfing only for all you kitties out there! That's a demand! :-D

Hi guys .. sweet start to the day atticus! Too bad you had to be naughty .. but sometimes that's just too much fun to pass up isn't it? Rats? Hmm .. to each their own I guess! Have a great day!

Lori, does Atticus like chicken or turkey? Those are the only low-carb treats Muffin likes. I give her oven-roasted turkey lunch meat for a treat everyday after she takes her denamarin.

OMG I LOVE pet rats! When my DD was 8 or 9, I got her a pet rat for her birthday, and we immediately went and got another one. That kicked off a whole string of pet rats for several years. I had no idea they would be so adorable and so much fun. They really have great personalities. One of them would ride in the neck of DD's shirt, holding on and peaking out the front. She went everywhere with DD like that. I was a little worried about the cats when I got them - they would come up to the cage and sniff and watch the rats. But the rats would come right and start trying to box the cats through the cage wires! It was hysterical!

I like them. I never thought I could get past the tails, but we ended up with gerbils a while ago that we have fallen in love with. Rats pretty much look like large gerbils with a naked tail. I will say that my son wanted a light colored rat with a naked pink tail and I had to tell him no. He opted for the darker rats with dark tails, thank goodness! :-D They're still getting used to the new place so they aren't showing much of their personalities yet, but I've heard they are great pets. My son totally loves them. My daughter is a bit put off by the tails like me, but I think they won her over last night when they snuggled up on her and went to sleep. She's such a push-over. I am too for that matter.

Nice green Atticus! Happy OTJ Day 4 or 5 depending how you are counting.
Japser wont eat any cat treats. He likes people food but most of my diet is very bad for him or worse. He loves lettuce but it makes him throw up. We settled on plain greek yogurt for his test treat, served on a baby spoon for his majesty. The store brand had the lowest carbs. When we were testing frequently, I gave him about 1/8 tsp so he didnt get tired of it. Now I give him a little more, but still a small amount so its still a treat for him.
Hmmm, rats and cats living together... How are Atticus and Ariel getting along with them? How do Crash and Burn like living with cats?

I`m cracking up over 'Bubonic and Plague'... and they could be Bonnie and Aggie for short  Glad things are going so well over there! Yeay for day 4/5!! dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat !!

Both my aliens love the frozen salad shrimp. I put a few in some water in a little bowl to defrost. After a few minutes, I give them the bowl to enjoy. Tucker loves the shrimp flavored water and Tucker loves the shrimp!
Compared to cat treats, it's cheaper too.

Hello.
I hear that there is a beechnut baby food ham. No additives. I'm trying to find it. that might be a good treat on a spoon.
And at least the jar would be little. I think stage one is the no additive phase of baby food.
And I've never met a cat who turns down pastrami. I haven't looked at the ingredients to see if it's a good one.
But whatever makes it pastrami, seems to have a strong smell that cats love.

Looking good Atticus!!!

Looking good Atticus. Keep the surfing up.
I feel kind of bad but Fur Ball doesn't get any treats so I can't offer any suggestions.
