It looks like the furball has passed. He didn't yuck it up though- or if he did, I can't find it, and usually I can. I tried several tricks last night to "help" the furball situation. He still refuses to eat butter- which I think is a bit ridiculous- I mean, come on, who in their right mind doesn't love butter??? I ended up taking a small amount of Vaseline and mixing it with some Fortiflora and putting it on his nose. He wasn't happy about it but he licked it off. I had purchased some natural hairball relief stuff (carb free) that he now does not like (he did a few weeks ago) but it has a bunch of mineral oil in it- I think that might have started the liquipoo issues... so no more of that. Whatever it was, it seems to have done the trick, we are back to better numbers. I need to be more diligent about brushing- I had slacked off and this is the result... ohmygod_smile
I've also increased his Lantus from 2.25 to a s2.5. I had been considering it for a while- just to see if we could inch the numbers down a tiny bit. We'll see how it goes.
This morning Smokey was VERY insistent on food- I managed to ignore him for about 30 minutes but at 5:30 he actually nipped my arm  ! He was on HUNGRY kitty- I must be starving the poor thing they way he acts!
I'm sending healing thoughts to Teddy and Garland- LLanders are so wonderful with all of their support and expertise- I'm glad Smokey and I are here.
