Hi Lantus Land!,

Racci had a wonderful night and a beautiful AMPS this morning in spite of eating breakfasts. She did eat a little less than usual during the night. That might be the answer with her. She certainly can do with missing another meal a day as heavy as she is. :lol: I hope she stays green without going too low today. I'll have to keep a close eye on her. WCR is good. Everything including poop today, has been evidenced. Racci's in great shape.

I have to go order some more meds and supplies for her. BBS.

Hello Melanie

Good to hear that Racci is doing good and she surfs nicely in the greens today. I'm not sure I'm ready to shoot a 68 yet :shock: But then, Racci's trends are so different than ours.

Hi Lisa,

With Racci it's not such a big deal to shoot low because it takes a while for the insulin to work on her usually and by then her last meal and just the regular cycle have brought her up quite a bit. It's usually fine to just check Racci about 2.5-3 hours later to see where she is. Racci usually starts going down from a shot about 3-3.5 but if she's real low like a 68 when I shot, I'll check a little sooner. That's why it's important to know your cat. ;-)

Aww, I'm sure she's just very very fluffy :mrgreen: Pretty in green today, Miss Racci - you sure put a cherry on my Sunday with your AMPS!

Hi Jane!

Well, yes, she is very fluffy, but somehow I don't think almost 20 lbs. worth. :lol: To be fair though, she is a big girl with a large bone structure except for her short legs. She has a long body and with all that super thick double coat of long fur, I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't Maine coon in her.

I'm really liking today's numbers too. She's been nice and green all day and most of yesterday without going too low. If she can keep this up I'll be very happy. :razz:
