i was listening to punkin purr while he was eating this morning and wondering how he does that. it's a talent! he made it through his dish and then finished anya's of course. punkin is nothing if not consistent!

anya has been staring at the fireplace doors for the past few minutes. it's like she just discovered them. got her nose right up next to the doors to check everything out. silly cat.

i'm going to get cosequin for him today - that's what you use for stiffness, right? i'm just wondering if that's why he doesn't groom himself now and if that's why he doesn't seem to want to be held much.

also, i made an appt at the new vet's for monday and told them to move his records.

Hi guys .. oh I love it when kitties purr and eat .. you know all is right in their world when they can do that! How funny of anya to check out the fireplace .. Mocha does that as well .. but she can see herself in the glass .. she looks ahead then back as us as if to say, why can't she come out and play too? Have a great weekend guys!

How is he when he first gets up from napping? Does he bunny hop down the stairs?

Dasuquin is better I believe to start with - its more expensive than cosequin.

Does he hesitate to crouch at the food and water bowls or try and drink/eat sitting down? We built Maverick a feeding station so he could drink and eat standing up or sitting down - which ever he felt like.

I hope the Cosequin helps Punkin feel better. Has he been Dx w/ arthritis? I usually get it on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Nutramax-Cose...sules/dp/B000F4W02M?tag=felinediabetesfdmb-20 This is the cheapest I've ever seen it. We bought it retail the first time and it was over $30 for a smaller bottle.

Someone told me to go with the dog version for larger cats like Punkin and Maverick. Its the same but you use one and not two cat pills. Even cheaper for us with cats over 15lbs.

I have Simon on dasuquin and it seems to be helping him alot. I think it is a newer med than cosuquin but not sure. I bought mine on amazon and it was not too expensive. Simon doesn't like it sprinkled on his food so I have to give it to him as a pill.

Love the Anya and the fireplace story.

I love that Punkin purrs while eatting!! And I agree with Liz...if I could I would too! Julie ....he must be feeling very good to do that Hope you have a good weekend.
