How long does steroid affect the bg?

Prednisolone will stay in the body 12-18 hours. I have noticed it affect the BG as early as 3-4 hours after administration.

Her last dose was day before yesterday. Wondering about her higher bgs if I need to increase.

Not today she seems withdrawn again. Eating most of her meals, like leaving a mouthful. I've noticed a difference in her today from last couple. I'm guessing it's not having the steroid.

The steroid will help with inflammation. So it may make her feel a little bit better even if it isn't direct pain relief. I wish cats could take regular old nasaids for arthritis.
