Yesterday was.... almost a rainbow day! almost... It was in a way a weird cycle. A nice amps, a huge leap at +2, then a slow recovery into the blues. I am beginning to think that it was the fuds served at amps: FF Chicken Feast Classic. It's supposed to be a 4% LC fuds, but every time I have served it in the past Mannie has these huge spikes in his BG. It has been off the menu for a while, thought I'd try it this AM to see if it affected him that way again, and wow... there was that spike.... sorry buddy, not an LC fuds for you anymore... poor Mannie. :? He does like that one. Yesterday was a decent day for him - we had some great blues. We are hoping for more, and a return to the green lagoon. Right Mannie? Lubs ya big guy cat_pet_icon
All is well in MannieLand and DGSVille.
The boys continue to be best buds. Yesterday THE VOICE was more on the quiet side, and THE CHASER, aka SPEED RACER, left his running shoes at home.  Mannie was so funny. He decided to spend the day upstairs. Every time he'd hear DGS coming he's inch his way forward, peek around the corner, trying to access the approach: was it slow... was it quiet... was it smiling.... I had to alugh. Out of all those approaches only one caused a retreat to the basement.  Well Done Nicholas! Mannie - your battles were chosen wisely today. The boys shared a few nanners, some one on one stare at you in the face time, and a few morsels of cubed chicken at snack time. Nicholas was so funny - he would not eat his until he was sure that Mannie had some too. aw.......
This morning we had a great test, feed and shoot and clean plate club , purrs and a few cuddles.
Normalcy in MannieLand.
Have a great day everyone. Our weather is awful this weekend - lots of rain, winds ans cool temps. I am not too sure what I will do today. DD, DSIL, And DGS hope to go to a local pumpkin patch with Nicholas, and if they do I will go with them. Should be fun! It is doubtful that there will be any hiking this weekend, unless I can find a place that is more or less dry. Rains coming in are described as torrential. hmmm.... not hiking friendly. bummer!
Hey everybody! OK... it is official... the weather IS AWFUL everywhere. So I vote that we go to Rusty's today, bring lots of fleece, and snacks and niptinis and stuff and hang out on his radiators... Maybe Uncle EdwardBean will fire up the wood stove... maybe
I hope Aunti EllaBean will let us bake cookie again. You guys in? Let me know - I am ready for anything! ~~ Mannie
And completely OT: here are some photos from my and DGS's adventure yesterday. Swimming and Coal Creek. I've also included the FaceBook links for anyone that wants to see all the photos and a set of videos: Swimming and Coal Creek
