Little Miss is feeling pretty good today. I on the other hand am fighting a URI.

We had to let our civie old man Oscar go today. He hadn't been eating, and was having a hard time moving around. I told him last night to let me know and this morning when I asked him, I swear the look he gave me was like "I'll hang around if you want me to". When I got home from work (URI) he was worse than this morning. We made the appointment and he went to be with his brother Velcro at 3pm today. I was told when we got him he was a year older than Tommy. I found out recently he is probably 2-3 years older than that. So he was 17 or 18. His last 13 years were with us and of course was spoiled rotten!

I will try to write a proper memorial for him, but I'll probably post it in Lala.

Will try to get my yesterday condo post here in a while. Have some cleaning tasks to take care of tonight and with fighting a cold it will take me a little while. Oh, her...

WCR: she's good right now. Don't think shes knows Oscar is missing yet.

Hope everyone had a good day today!

Fly high and free Oscar. I'm sure by now he's playing with Velcro in the fields of catnip.

(((Jen))) I am so sorry for the loss of your dear Oscar....that was a very selfless and loving thing you did for him....
So beautiufl that you heard his heart....may the years you share bring peace and joy forever.....
Fly Free Oscar....may all our precious ones greet you there in the catnip fields.....

I'm very sorry Jen. It sounds like Oscar was a very loved family member... your little old man. How sweet.
He is free now and will send his loving warmth to you as you remember him fondly.

Every time you feel the sun on your face, it will be a little bit of his love.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It never seems to matter that our fur babies have lived a long and spoiled rotten life. Their time with us is far too short. Oscar will have many of our LL kitties and any number of our civvies to chase butterflies with and headbutt with, and spend pleasurable hours sleeping in the sun at the Bridge. He will always be in your heart.

Give Oreo a few extra hugs. You'll both need them.

I am very sorry for your loss, Jen. I know how hard it is when they tell you that it is time to say goodbye. I hope that you can take comfort from your memories of his long and happy life with you, and that Oscar and Bear Man are enjoying some sunshine and gentle breezes at the Bridge.

Jen - I am so sorry for the loss of Oscar. They do let us know when it is time - I have always believed that. It is the best gift we can ever give them. It just never seems like the time they have with us is enough. Though I know too the memories will sustain you. Mannie and I send hugs. We will be thinking of you.

((( Jen and DH ))) I'm so sorry to hear about Oscar. Hopefully Oreo won't take it too hard. And DH, too - as I recall they were very close.
