Hello all!
Billie had her cardiology checkup today. I was feeling hopeful because she truly seems like she feels good, but I was also very scared. By some miracle, her echocardiogram showed no fluid anywhere!!!!! So the small dose of Lasix she's on is working!! Her heart also sounded good, and her doctor didn't hear any abnormal beats. And her kidney values are stable from a week ago with BUN mildly elevated and all others normal! I'm so happy and relieved. I started crying happy tears as soon as the doctor told me. After her first appointment two weeks ago, the doctor said her prognosis would really depend on how these past two weeks went, seeing what things look like with the Lasix and seeing how her kidneys do. So, this is really wonderful amazing news. She said we should keep doing what we're doing with the Lasix and Plavix and that we should come back in 3 months, or sooner if she shows any symptoms of things being off.
I'm going to celebrate with Indian food!! Billie is going to celebrate with some peace and quiet and chicken after a very vetty afternoon.
