Yesterday

Bell is still on the high side, but she has dropped since I went to bed last night. I didn't want to increase into a potential breaking up of a bounce, so I maintained the same dose. Hopefully she continues on this downward trend today!

Hello Seth! I would not increase yet, give her time to break her bounce and show you that she really need it, she went under 50 so her reduction was earned.

I was going to ask if I should increase Bell’s dosage tonight, but she just threw up her +6 meal. She threw up 5 times until it was all bile . I am going to judge how her appetite is before increasing the dosage. She has bouts of throwing up and then refusing food for stretches of time. This was the first time she has puked in about a month, which is a really long time for her.

I now have multiple scratches but I managed to get 4 mg of cerenia and 2 mg of ondansetron in her. Waiting an hour or so and then will try to feed her a small amount.

Thanks Cecile. She still isn’t 100% but I’ve managed to get her to eat some very small meals, so that’s good.

good she went down at night! And sorry she was throwing up. Hope she gets better soon. Throwing up and not eating is really stressful. Good you could get the medication inside.

Hope the rest of the day is less stressful and Bell is going down gently tonight.

Thank you, Heike! I may need to take up meditation or something to separate my stress levels from Bell’s ups and downs . Must not ride the waves on the choppy surface, need to dive a bit further down where all is calm

Wishing you and Bell a calm night, Seth. I’m sorry to hear she’s been throwing up. I hope that stops so she can eat well and she will be fine.

Bell's still not feeling 100%, but since I am able to get her to eat some, I went ahead and upped the dose to 2.5 units. This reduction was not great to say the least. Hopefully we get back on track in the next few days.

Thanks so much Staci, hope you get some rest tonight. Bell just ate almost her normal amount at +2 so that’s good. These high numbers worry me but let’s see what this increase can do.

It’s hard for me to imagine that a 0.25 dose change can be the difference between low 50s and high 300s. FD is still such a mystery to me . Thankful for the decades of experience here I can fall back on when things don’t make sense to me.
