I have read the rules about increasing doses etc, but I was wondering if I should keep Milo at the .50 for the 3 days or can anyone tell this soon that he may more than likely need a higher dose? I don't mind waitng but I am starting to see the old sign of him having high levels, with the ravish hunger etc..would it be best just to wait out the 6 cycles and see what happens?

OK, will do, thanks..... I use the 3/10 (doses up to 30 units) 31 G 8mm syringes, how and I to shoot .75..(when I increase) I have a hard time geting it exactly on the lines as it is! Also, I accidently dropped my lantus bottle when getting it out of the fridge tonight, it looked ok but will that mess it up?

Here's the link you want - scroll down about 3/4 way down the page to the syringe pictures. there's also a link to "fine pictorial guide" - i'm not sure which one you want. http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18139

i think the important thing with the dose is that you are consistent. doesn't matter what you call it, as long as you know what the dose is. some people practice with a used syringe and colored water so they can figure it out. you could even get a colored water dose in an old needle and just keep it to compare to each time.

keep using your lantus, but if you see milo's numbers increasing and you can't figure out why, consider that it might have affected the lantus when it fell. but i'd sure use it in the meantime. i've taken to keeping ours in a mug in the fridge - gives a little added security.
