Happy Furrrriday :)

Good morning NDW :p

We're up to 1.75 as of this morning. Fistuk wants to have the bird's eye view so he climbed a bit :joyful:

Started yesterday to change their food gradually. I noticed that Prince has allergy to the food I gave them. He kept on picking at his skin and vomited here and there.

The brand is AniForte, a German product that prides themselves to produce high quality, with no additive. I wanted to start by eliminating fish to see if that makes a change. Hopefully I'll discover that Fistuk's wet eyes and sniffly nose is a symptom of allergy.

What I did notice with Fistuk is a lot of ear wax. In humans, ear wax is a sign of bad digestion. When we eat things that our digestion system can't handle we get ear wax. I think it's the same for cats.

When calculating the carb dry matter percentage I got 0.24. It's rather low but looks correct. I emailed the company to ask about mg phosphorus per 100g calories

Other than that all is well. Fistuk came to be with me in bed after breakfast instead of going to his throne. That made me very happy.

Wishing you all a healthy day :bighug::bighug::bighug:

We tend to look at how a cat is doing in the last two weeks. Anything before that (like the limes) are ancient history. So look at what his dose is doing lately for him. Do you like the overall look? Do his nadirs have a bit of room to come down and still be safe.

You are home (sorry about the back, that's the worst!), the weekend is coming up. Is this the time to try an increase? Can you monitor?

With those answers in mind, what do you think you should do?

Thank you for the guidance, Wendy. That's very helpful.

Though the kisses to the lime zone were within the two weeks period I see that he has room for lower nadirs. Most of his nadirs are in the high 60', low 70 so I think that's ok.
And I don't like how many blues he has. I'd rather he has more stability then swing between mid blue to low dark green.
And true, I'm home to monitor at least until Tuesday. Though I'm planning to go to the doctor on Monday to get some more sick days.
Thanks for your support :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Good luck with the increase, Shelly!
I noticed that Bella has more black stuff in her ears, and that it seems to be itchy, when she has allergies (she is allergic to fish as well, and I notice it in spring and late summer, she has seasonal allergies too. With zyrtec it usually goes away fast). That would be wonderful if Fistuk's breathing problems were due to that as well!
Have a good day, I hope you back pain improves.

Thanks, Ceclin :)
Fistuk for sure would appreciate it if I stop picking his ears to clean them :p Intresting to learn that Bella has a similar response.
I have more movement in my back today and I was able to sleep through the night without waking up from pain. Ao there's some improvement. I still find it difficult to stand more than a few minutes. But the direction is good.
Wishing you a happy Furiday :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I'm so glad Fistuk is doing so well, AND decided to snuggle in bed with you! Good luck with the increase and have a safe, relaxing weekend!
