Hi Everyone,

Thanks to everyone that visited last night :-D

I spent today reading over Dr. Pierson's food list, then driving around looking for food for Bubby. Because of his health issues and allergies, the Vet wants us to stick with Venison.... It's a pretty short list. I had purchased some Evo 95% Venison at the local pet store, but the cats don't seem to care for it. I did find a couple of different brands but they had chicken and/or beef as the first ingredient. Then I found Natural Balance Venison and Pea, but it's 12%... When I plugged the numbers from the can into the food calculator, it came out as either 7% or 8% though.... I probably did it wrong. Anyway... An hour away and I found 4cans of Nature's Variety Instict Venison, but even that has pork. Better than chicken or beef, so I bought all 4 cans. Bubby either loved it or was Really hungry as he licked the plate clean. :-D I will have to order online. I think I'm going to try the Primal Raw as well.

I have been giving Bubby the generic unflavored Metamucil for a while now for diarrhea issues. I could have sworn that I read the label and it didn't have any sugar in it.... I was wrong! Tried finding the NOW brand psyllium husk today, but the health food store didn't have it. I looked at another brand but it had something else, not the psyllium husk, so I didn't dare to try it.

Everything else seems good with Mr. Bubby. He was very cuddly this morning, and also before dinner time. All P's present and accounted for..... Now that his belly is full, he went to take a nap,

Hope everyone is having a good night. Hugs and vines for anyone needing them tonight.

Good luck with the food hunt. I hope once you order more, Bubby will still like it. How nice on the cuddles this morning.

Hopefully the sugar from the metamucil will clear his system and his numbers will come down.

I have slowly moved Tobey onto the Primal raw and he eats it like it is going out of style! He loves the turkey, pheasant, venison, and rabbit. I haven't been able to find the quail. I started with just a tiny bit of the raw in his canned and then slowly increased the raw and decreased the canned.

However, I decided to do the same with Gracie. I had been giving her tiny bits on her plate but yesterday I mised about 1/2 tDo raw in with her canned and she threw it all up. That's the second time that has happened and Shelly told me the same thing happened with Jersey. Also, Wendy said some cats dont have a lot of tummy acid and so the raw makes them sick. She said its best to feed a little yogurt for a week or so before starting the conversion.

The oddest thing is Tobey has always had a sensitive system. I can't change his canned food from one to the other because he gets diarrhea. He's done great with the raw. Gracie, OTOH, has always had an iron tummy. So it's bizarre the raw doesn't work for her. And she ate raw the first year of her life. :YMSIGH:

Good luck with whatever you decide but both my cats love the Primal raw.
