Yesterday, baby Ripples flashback.

Yesterday recap:
AMPS: 95
+9.5: 114
PMPS: 142
+3: 127
+6: 108

Good morning, LL!! ☼☼☼
Sending vines to all in need today; so glad Pixie, Lucy, and Gussie are feeling better.
Sorry to hear Zener and Tillie's mouse visitor met his demise last night. Fly free little mousie, and enjoy all the cheese, oreos, candy corn, and yes, even natural peanut butter you could ever want.
Thank you for the visits last night Lara, Pam, Anne, Mariko, and Rich! :-D

Ripley is doing great today.
Important Ps are in place, and most of her breffis is eaten.

Yesterday I bought this. I've heard many friends tell me your kitties needs this, mine love it!. So I succumbed to the peer pressure and impulsively bought it at walgreens yesterday.

Ripley walked up to it, sat next to it, chewed on the yellow vinyl (while seemingly annoyed by the little red "mouse tail" whacking her paws), and then walked away and started chewing on some paper that was across the room. ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile

Civvie Smokey jumped back when I turned it on, and watched it from the other room.

Neither of them are interested (yet... I'm optimistic...)

Paper (whether in the form of a cut up paper towel tube or a simple piece laying on the floor) is still BY FAR the Best Cat Toy Ever.

Re: 10/10 Ripley AMPS 123

Morning Josie ~O) ~O) ~O)

Looking good there Ripley. You surf well today, and enjoy your new toy. :-D

I ave heard and seen the new hot toy. I so wonder what Lola would do with it. Probably figure out how to take it apart... I Love Ripley's reaction.   Smokey's was even better. That probably would be Bug. I can see Elsa sitting there and saying: "You're kidding, right?" I hope your kitties warm up to it. Lola woyuld agree with you: PAPER RULES!, no matter the form.

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well.

Re: 10/10 Ripley AMPS 123

So funny your kitties reaction to the new toy. I hope they both decide to play with it. Nice start for Ripley. I hope she slides down to the lagoon.

Re: 10/10 Ripley AMPS 123

I think that toy would freak my cats out, too. Year ago, my brother got my cats this thing that spun a mouse on a rope round and round...it scared most of the cats, excpet one, who just sat there and got bopped by the mouse ohmygod_smile   ! In my mouse, cut up paper towel tubes, crumpled Target fliers, and empty boxes are worth their weight in gold!

Nice start for Ripples today!

Re: 10/10 Ripley AMPS 123

Hi Josie. Nice blue AMPS for Miss Ripley today. Glad all is well there.

We have one of those toys also and none of our cats are impressed with it either. Their favorite toy is a large cardboard box flipped over on the floor. I cut an arched opening in one end of the box large enough for them to enter. On one side I cut two holes, one like a triangle and a round one. On the other side I just cut a round hole. They love it. One will go inside and an other one will be poking a paw through one of the side holes.

Have a great day Josie.

Re: 10/10 Ripley AMPS 123, +9 92

Good job, Ripples, for dipping a paw into the lagoon!

As I mentioned yesterday (I think), she has developed an aversion to her daily +9 Pepcid treat (crushed Pepcid, smooshed into a bit of Pill Pocket, then rolled into crushed freeze-dried shrimp, her absolute favorite flavor). She will sniff it, but then walk away. I've experimented with putting the Pepcid into a little bit of squash baby food (she gets that in her breakfast each morning) and into a bit of pumpkin (she gets that in her dinner each night). She has caught on. Not sure why she suddenly does not want it.
So, for the first time today, I mixed the crushed Pepcid with a little water and eye-dropped it into her mouth.
She did not like that, but at least it's in her now.

Hi, Michelle :-D Your kitties' possible reactions to the toy are likely spot-on  . I bet after taking it apart, you'd find parts in random places, like in plant dirt  . And you're right: paper does rule!

Hi, Carla :-D So far no one's interested in the toy. Well, except for the dog. When I turn it on, he comes running to check it out  .

Hi, Amy :-D Too funny with your kitty getting bopped by the mousie toy! Kitties don't need no stinkin' elaborate toys!

Hi, Lara :-D That's hilarious ~ I wonder if my kitties are thinking, "Uh, something just landed in the living room..."

Hi, John, :-D I love the box idea ~ sounds like you turned into the ultimate kitty clubhouse!

Re: 10/10 Ripley PMPS 145, drop dosecrease

Ripley had a good afternoon and is having a good evening :-D .
I upped her dose from 1.0u to f1.0.
I hope to see more greens with this added drop.
I'm happy with her numbers, but before I switched syringe brands I was seeing more greens than blues. Still making slight adjustments.
I was going to keep her at an even 1.0u through the weekend because DH will be BIC, but he said he's comfortable dosing a fat dose :-D . (I'll leave him a detailed drawing, as usual.)

Re: 10/10 Ripley AMPS 123, +9 92

Very nice +9 miss Rippers  And to funny on the toy reaction. That's exactly what mine would do. I have bought so many really cool (I thought anyway  ) toys only to be starred at like "Really"
Boxes, paper, and even the caps off the syringes they love. Hoots all time favorite toy is a piece of candy he can fetch. Sugar free of course
Wow on the not eating her shrimpies, but at least you got some in her :thumbup
Enjoy your night Josie

Re: 10/10 Ripley PMPS 145, drop dosecrease

Hi Josie,
Looks like all the kitties gave the Cats' Meow a paws down! I don't think Rusty would like it, either. I'd like to get him into "play mode" again, but I don't think the Cat's Meow would be the thing.

Hope that you find a solution for giving the pill. Good luck! and good luck also with the dosecrease.

Enjoy the evening.

Hugs, scritches,
Ella & Rusty

Hi Josie,
I'm glad Ripley's doing good today. :-D
That's a fun looking toy........too bad Ripley didn't like it much, but I'm sure the same would happen here too.

Maybe she by chance really tasted how horrible Pepcid tastes?
I'm sure it tastes horrible, it's one of Lucy's most difficult pills to give.
One time she kept spitting it out and I kept trying to push the wet melting Pepcid back into her mouth, and she got to really taste the bitterness before swallowing it.
Since then she's refuses Pepcid much more stubbornly. :-x
Have you tried just wrapping the Pepcid piece completely with pillpocket without crushing it?
I think crushing makes the taste/smell more noticeable.

We have a cats meow and sometimes they love it, sometimes they ignore it!

Good luck with the increase. I'm so excited you will be here in less than two days!!!!!
