Max and I had a pj party last night that surprised me. We ended the party with a BG of 87 at +6.75. Actually the pj party didn't surprise me as much as how quickly and low he dropped. So likely today will be a bounce day.

Thanks for the visit late last night Tricia. I think I might have gotten to bed earlier than you did and hopefully you are still asleep now. :smile:

Don't worry about visiting...everyone certainly understands that you have a very full plate! I hope Max is feeling and breathing well today, and keeps his bounce very minimal.

Thanks, Amy. I guess the bounce will happen tonight or tomorrow or later today. I had to leave briefly to get my mom convinced to go for the scan so I fed him 9% twice. It seems to be bringing him up and he may have had an early nadir. I'll monitor for awhile and won't feed more to see what he does. He didn't finish the food I put out when I left until now so that isn't a good sign for when I need to leave if there is an emergency. :roll:

Maybe Max is saving the bounce so you can sleep tonight. He might not have felt he needed the food today. Hard to say what he would have done if he was really low.

Thank you Wendy. She was so difficult this morning and didn't want to go for the scan. Max made it impossible for me to go with them but I did go over and get her to finish her brunch and get into the car. Hopefully the scan will give them something to work with as in a diagnosis that they a ortho can figure out how to treat. Fingers and paws crossed.

It's been a long time since Max had a few good days in a row. It seems every time something happens to make me not be able to steer him the best way. I'm getting more gray hairs every day and the guilt of not being able to do well by either of my two patients is taxing me.

I hope everything went well with your mom's scan. Those are nice numbers for Max today, but it's frustrating when they do that when we need to go somewhere. Sending prayers and hugs. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Max is bouncing like I expected after dropping quickly last night and again today although not nearly as low today.

I just gave a shot that hurt him and wasn't deep enough. This may lead to a long bounce. :oops:

I almost didn't test again. He dropped from 194 at +3 to 62 at +5.5. I retested with the back-up meter because I didn't believe it.

I just got another answer as to whether Max will eat when low. I put out food after the test and then was busy on the computer. When I went to check on him he had only eaten a little. So I added a little hc that he loves to the mc I had put out and now the plate is licked clean. I think he has taken lessons on plotting from Jersey. That would be fine if he would go down the dosing pyramid and go OTJ but I know that is not happening so he darn well needs to stop plotting against me.

I left the hall door open. Max took a walk around my living room. It has been the forbidden area to avoid cat fur and digging in the plants. Lately I've left it open so if he wants to take a walk he can when I am watching. He used to open the door and he and Tiffany would get into mischief so I had to put slide locks on the door. This might be a way to get a little exercise for him.

I overdid the food I guess as he took a pretty big jump. Now I get to sleep.

Hey, Elise, you're not the only one up late. Cinco is surfing safely right now, but he double dipped earlier, so I am not gonna count on his staying in the shallows! Like you, I've learned not to get too complacent.

I hope Max comes up and stays up for you. I'm sure you can use some sleep. Sending more prayers for your Mom. :YMHUG:
