Morning ~O) still a little high for a Maggie number, so not sure what's up as she had been doing so well, but being sick yesterday, maybe this is still carryover. I've noticed her drinking more water than usual. My gut feeling tells me something else is going on here, but keep in mind I am a worry wort as are we all! She's due mid November for a senior bw panel and check her renal disease, but I may take her in early. This morning sweetie had a treat of Beechnut chicken & broth bf and then some Friskies SD Turkey & Giblets as a main entree. Last night I tried the auto feeder, and although it worked okay, Maggie wasn't quite ready for it yet. She said what is this.....no free feeding tonight! No lb yet, but at least she's eating. Hopefully Maggie will surf some nice blues, as I have some things that will take up my morning and hope to meet up with a friend for breakfast today. Have a nice Monday and sending healing vines to all our kitties not feeling so well this week

You can rarely go wrong trusing your gut, worry wart or no. At best you catch something early, at worst you simply ease your mind. Hope all is well with Maggie.

I'm hoping for Maggie to surf lower for you today, and I hope that there's nothing amiss. I, too, am a worry wort... Probably a huge one.

Thanks for that confirmation, Linda. You're right; most of the time when we don't follow that gut feeling we find out later we should have trusted it.

Morning! Missed you! No worry wort exists more than me!! If Moo nie poops on the left side of the LB & not the right, I'm like--What's wrong?? But I do understand!--Wait the rest of today & if you feel uneasy, at least call the vet..Sometimes a chat even helps...Hope she comes around--
& feels better.
Uh there it is Moonie is limping on her neuropathy leg more than usual--Worry wart action begins now!!
See we are all alike--Hugs & Love from us!

Morning, guys! Sorry Miss Maggie's numbers are higher than normal... I agree with the others. No harm in calling the vet and scheduling those tests a little early. Will put you at ease!

Hope you have a great day!

Hope that Maggie is just fine and you are being a worry wort but you've got to trust yourself. Come on down Miss Maggie- nice and slow...

I think I may know why her AMPS was high this morning, as she had a 159 at PMPS, and I'm sure I didn't do a fur shot. I mistakenly gave her Friskies Special Diet Salmon, and anything with salmon causes a spike. I wondered why she was enjoying it so much. I made sure I didn't have any FF Salmon Feast in her cabinet.

Thanks Angela, Lisa, Linda, SmokeyD, Christie, Roni, and Devon for visiting and understanding my worry wort nature. Roni, I had to laugh with the lb on the other side of the litter box and worrying. Devon, she must be reading her condo as she came down at the +4! She seems a little better and is eating okay. thanks so much.

I truly understand that gut feeling. Since you need to take her in soon anyway, might as well take her in just a bit sooner...ease your mind. I'm a worrier too, so I know how you feel!! Glad you figured out why you got higher BG's!!!

Much better Miss Maggie! Don't worry your mom so! Different foods can do strange things. We all grab a wrong can in the morning haze at times. If her visit is due soon, i agree, getting checked a little early isn't a bad idea.

+8 183

Hi Ann & Tess, thanks so much, yes, much better numbers. She's remaining flat which is her norm. I just got home and noticed she ate a mini meal I left for her, so the 183 is part food. I won't need to test again until PMPS the way she remains so flat. Yes, salmon is one flavor that spikes her, even the freeze dried salmon sprinkles.

Thanks Patty for stopping by Mag's condo. Her behavior seems to be getting back to normal. I'll play it by ear. I've started using the auto feeder to try and keep her food fresher when I'm gone. Now to get her used to eating from it.

Well, we managed to stay blue barely! I'm hoping the high AMPS is a carryover from the Friskies SD Salmon. She should be clearing it soon. I shot 15 minutes earlier just to get her on an even time. She was sleeping so soundly that I carried her still sleeping over to my lap to shoot. She woke up as she wanted her treat. :-D

Much better and more of a Maggie number. Her appetite is better today, and she asked for food, so I did a poke and then she had some Friskies SD Turkey & Giblets. I hope this indicates back to normal Maggie numbers.

So glad Maggie is feeling better today and had some nice blue surfing going on. I also believe you should follow your gut; if you are going to do it in Nov anyway, doesn't hurt to go ahead and check it out. If you think her renal values might be creeping up, it's best to get on it to keep her stable.

I hope you got out and had a lovely breakfast with your friend. Sending many hugs and healing vines for Maggie who I am sure is tickled over the slip up in food

Hmmmm I thought I had stopped by earlier, guess I didn't. I'm going to second what everyone else says and go for the BW a little early, plus your gut instinct is always right. But good to hear she's feeling better.

I hope you and Miss Mags had a good day, and nighty night!

Thanks Marge for the healing vines for Mags. She is doing much better and even played with her mouse toy a little today. Yes, that's what I'm thinking with Maggie is maybe her renal values are creeping up, so I'll get her in sometime soon. I have one medical appt. Wednesday with my Rheumatologist that I need to keep, so towards the end of the week will be good or early next week. Yes, Maggie sure did enjoy the slip up with food. She's looking at me with those sad eyes when I give her the lc.

Hi Tracy & Leo, thanks, and everyone seems to agree with that gut instinct. I hope all is well with you and Leo. Her appetite is back, so that is a good thing.
