Re: 10/10 Blackie AMPS 164

Very pretty numbers the last few days and a great WCR. Be careful what you wish for with those green pre-shots. The first couple of times can be pretty unnerving!

Re: 10/10 Blackie AMPS 164

At this point, it doesn't matter. I won't be testing her at all today other than the PS. Someone else threw up, and of course, all of the mess is gone before I realized that the incident had occurred. Currently, and until we can afford it, the others are still eating Friskies dry, and they get a small amount of Friskies wet in the a.m. mixed with their food.

She laid next to a huge spot where one incident happened, and the food's gone, and then I found a second spot sans food.

So, with that being said, I'm not testing other than the PS. Not worth it.

Re: 10/10 Blackie AMPS 164

She's not surfing today. She's laying by the water dish.

I fought so hard to get her where she's at, and this happens. I'm sure ya'll have been here before, but it's frustrating as all get out when things like this happens.

Despite the fact that she ate HC food that someone else threw up this morning, her #'s are going down, albeit not very quickly. Thought HC was supposed to spike #'s...? What's with this then?

And it was suggested that I do a test. I guess I'm glad I did.

Maybe Blackie isn't very carb sensitive. My Blackie clears the carbs pretty quickly when he's in good numbers. You might want to do another spot check later and see if Blackie got to green.

It never hurts to get that one test, even if you think she'll be high. Kitties just LOVE to surprise us! Are you sure she ate the HC? Maybe one of the other kitties got it. Is she still laying by the water bowl?

Very nice numbers!

No, Laurie, I'm almost positive that she ate the HC food. In fact, we've seen her head towards anyone that starts to remotely begin the heaving process. So, yeah, I'm sure that she ate it.

She looks like she is doing pretty well in spite of her cleaning up the 'recycled foods.' It is disconcerting to see (or hear) a kitty's horking up a meal and then by the time you get to it... it's gone. :o

The first time that happened here, I was confused since it never occurred to me that a cat would eat regurgitated stuff. Ewwww.
But after a while, when it would happen again, I'd appreciated the help in cleaning. (Both cats here eat the same food so no worries about HC.)

Good luck with the rest of the cycle today!

She'll come back down, try not to be frustrated (I know it's hard) She had a great start this morning.

Sorry to hear she got some HC food. I've heard that dry food takes longer to process than HC wet food, so that may be why there was such a delay in her spike. Hope it clears quickly!
