I'm not sure what happened with Simon's nice green numbers from the night before. Could a bounce from the hc food continue to a second day? I am also trying different foods to see what Simon likes. Yesterday, he ate Special Kitty (which I will not give again because he was scratching more after eating it) and also he tried Natural Balance duck. He has had a breffis today of Wellness chicken. He has eaten the Wellness before with no bg issues so I will be interested in seeing how his numbers play out today.

All P's present this morning. I have to go into work for a couple of hours this morning since I had off the last 2 days. I have to complete some stuff before Monday. At least I will be the only person there and will get everything done in a couple of hours instead of 8 hours because of everyone interrupting me!

Bummer on the work today - I hope you will be able to finish quickly.

Mannie eats Wellness for the most part, he does well with it, and no significant BG rise. It is his main food. I hope Simon likes it, and does well with it. Good luck with the food experiments!

Thanks, Michelle for the words of support. Simon is green at +6 so maybe it was the Special Kitty or maybe it was just a freak thing, or maybe it was just Simon being Simon...no way to predict how he is going to be one day to the next. But of course, that is what makes him special!

Hi Georgia, which flavor SK did you try on Simon? Maggie had a reaction with the SK Chicken & Liver but seemed okay with the SK Super Supper. There was a chunky chicken dinner that she loved, but they changed it to chicken & liver, and this did not go over well. Maggie does real well on Wellness chicken if she would eat it. I have to mix it in with FF, but then she shoves the Wellness off the plate! :YMSIGH: Simon is coming down very nice there at the 86. I hope you get everything done at work today.

Ann, I bought the only lower carb food at Walmart which was the chuncky chicken. It didn't say chicken and liver but I didn't read the ingredients. If it had liver in it, that was probably the problem. Simon likes wellness for a couple of days then hates it, then loves it, etc., etc., etc.!

Oh boy, does that ever sound familiar! :lol: I hope we both can found a quality food Simon and Maggie will eat!

As you know, Champ developed hives after eating Special Kitty...at least I think that's what it was because it was the only new thing he had eaten before they broke out. Witch hazel cleared the hives right up and eased his itching. If Simon's itching is on an accessible part of his ears, you might try using some witch hazel. I can't remember if it was Ann (&Tess) or Ella (& Rusty) who recommended it, but it worked like a charm!!!

Simon must have read his condo and decided to snap out of it huh? Good luck with the food hunt. We have done FF classic chicken and flaked chicken forever now. Tarragon is picky and that is what he will eat.

Thanks for visiting our condo. Yes, there are pictures that will be used at some point to embarras Mason. We all had a good laugh about it.
