Good Morning LL! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Thank you Elsa! :shock: Not a bounce after all! :-D :-D :-D Miss Tess seems to want to head back to the lagoon, or at least get back on the Blue Team.

My DS passed away yesterday. After seeing her this last week there really can be no grief, it was a blessing that she is free. I don't know when Izzy will come to us. My DN is living in my sister's house it all depends on his plans. I even wonder if her may decide to take her back to IL.

WCR All 5 Ps, Clean Plate Club, Vines to all the kittehs in need of them and hugs to all their beans.

Hi guys .. yay for no bounce! I'm so sorry to hear about your DS and her passing, but as you said, sometimes it is a blessing to see them suffer no longer .. My thoughts and prayers are with you all ..

I'm so sorry for the loss of your sister, Ann. Even when you know it's coming, it has to be hard.

We are so very sorry to hear that your sister has passed, but relieved to know that she is no longer in pain. Please extend our deepest sympathy to your family. I hope that her kitty Izzy will be OK. Our kitties grieve, too, when their most important person is gone. And I hope that good arrangements can be made for Izzy. Is your nephew a cat person?

Looks like Tess may be poised to come down soon.

I must have screwed up the shot this morning, or else Tess has decided to go into astronaut training!

Izzy will be coming to live with us tonight or tomorrow. DN said her was worried about her running away with everyone coming and going over there. We are waiting for his call, he's waiting for her to come in for the night. We have her room all ready, Feliway plugins in there and in the next room for Emma, Rescue remedy in the water bowl, litter box and a couple of sleeping spots all ready. There will just be a door separating her form Emma. Do you think i should put a towel down to block the scents at first? We decided that Izzy would be kept in the guest room, it's quieter there and easier to deal w/ the 2 cats separately.

Ann, I can't answer your question about the towel with any firsthand experience. But if they are going to be "neighbors", it may be best just to leave the door closed and not to stuff a towel under it. Is Izzy also a cat who goes outside a lot? Maybe she and Emma will become friends. I hope that Izzy will adjust to her new surroundings. I'm sure she will appreciate the nice little room you have prepared for her.

I wouldn't put a towel under the door either. If Izzy knows your smell at all, it will be comforting to know you are there. Just bring some stuff from Izzy's home to help her feel more at home with the scents she is used to. Maybe a bed she used, or a shirt of DS?

Seems like I just read something about blocking under the door initially so they won't claw at each other under the door, but I can't remember where I read it. I hope Izzy and Emma can learn to get along.

Tess thinks that Zener's moon shot looked like a bunch of fun so she's going to give it a try. :roll: :roll: Crazy cats.

Sorry about your sister. I like to think she is in a better place. I don't know where the heck Tess is going. Maybe she just wants to give you a break tonight. Get some rest and mush on tomorrow!

I am so very sorry to hear about your sister. There are no words to offer you any comfort but our prayers are with you all.

When I've brought another cat in, we usually start by blocking the door with a towel. I hope they all adjust soon.

Tess time to come on down, what are you doing on that floor?

I wish you much luck and good times with Izzy. I hope the transition will go well for her. You have done a great job getting all ready for her. Not too sure on the towel, but I would have some scents form home that she is comfortable with. something of your sisters maybe? or bedding?
