morning all,
been a rough night for this bean...no sleep from the coughing and high fever....

still feel like crap!

amps 149 he got his breffis but took some time to eat...didn't matter what i showed him...he was not interested..but then finally ate a lil bit

+2.25 68...i never heard the alarm to test....it was Comet wanting to be let out that woke me up...to my surprise....fed a bit this time....

waiting 15 mins to test again....

my head feels like it's gonna explode....

I hope Rocket is still improving -- it sounds like it.

I'm very glad Rocket is better and I hope you're better soon. Thanks for the pm, too. I feel so conflicted about the Bupe that I don't know what to do. Maybe you're right and I should go ahead and give it until I can talk to the vet. Thanks for all your help, Claudia!

I hope another day has gotten you closer to feeling a little better and that you are trying to get some rest. Healing vines for you and Rocket!

this bean hasn't had much rest today....this cold has surely done a number on me....

hope tomorrow is better...

Rocket hid for a lil bit in the closet where Comet's crate is....i have a pillow and blankets in there for him...that's sort of his safe haven for when he is not well...i rather that than under the bed where is cold..and dirty....

so he stayed there for half hr...good thing as i was trying to figure out how to get him out of there for pmps....but he came out on his own

we'll see what he has in store for me....

have had to assist feed at +1 and +2....now at +3 85 he doesn't want to eat...

i'm really drained...no energy...very lethargic...haven't slept at all....can't seem to find a comfortable position...drinking lots of tea/water/juice and chicken broth.....hope it gets better by tomorrow....taking care of Rocket and feeling like crap is oh so very hard....

(((Claudia))) I'm so sorry Rocket isn't eating. I hope you can talk to the vet tomorrow and see if you have some other options. My heart goes out to you. You know that we're struggling with the same thing. ROCKET! EAT!

I'm sending prayers for you and Rocket to both feel better real soon.
 
i figured out what is causing him to not eat...i saw him lip smacking...so i gave him the ondansetron...i will email vet tonight to let her know he needs that med...it worked all along...and i won't give Cerenia as she prefers that over ondansetron...why change what is working....

so pepcid, pheno, ondansetron and LRS meds in place....

spoon fed at +3.75
now +4.25 94

he is alert and hanging in the bathroom...no idea why that is his place to hang out since last week....hopefully he'll get out of there....

Hope you guys have a good night and you start feeling better, too!
Latte spent a lot of time in the bathroom. I dont know why either! Drove me crazy at first. Then I just went with it. Got her a comfy new rug, took lots of baths to be in there with her (that was not too abnormal for me ;-) ), brought her food in there often, slept in the bathroom with her at times, and learned to give meds/test/etc in there. Was not worth the distress after a while to make her be somewhere else. She never seemed to mind me visiting often! :mrgreen: Biggest distress was not being able to take a darn shower because she would always lay against the tub and I didnt want to splash her. Washed my hair in the sink A LOT more than I ever wanted to.

So sorry you're sick! Hope you are able to get some rest and healing soon! Nice that Rocket is improving, and that you've gotten to the bottom of why he isn't eating. That should hopefully help things!
