Good Morning on Saturday, Everyone,

I think that since today is l/08 and since Rusty's AMPS is 108, I ought to play the daily numbers! We had a good night last night. I was so tired from skiing 10 miles that I didn't hear the alarm, but Rusty and Edward did, so we are on schedule. I woke up with a furry head pushing against mine. Breakfast has been eaten and play with Big Bug was especially vigorous this morning.
We didn't get any of the snowstorm, just light flurries. No outdoor activities planned for today (with the exception of the daily 2-mile walk to the Post Office and back). We're going to see the Metropolitan Opera HD broadcast at the movie theater in Lake Placid this afternoon. Rusty will stay home and listen to the radio broadcast! He's been singing quite a lot lately, so maybe he'll be inspired to sing along with Deborah Voight (the opera today is Puccini's "The Girl of the Golden West'. Voight, a wonderful dramatic soprano, sings the role of Minnie, the saloon-keeper).
Off now to visit condos. I hope all the ailing kitties are feeling better today.

Very very nice on the 10 mile XCountry ski yesterday - I am sooooo envious. I was talking to my DSIL yesterday, he wants to do some lowland winter hiking - YAY! I do be happy - now all we have to do is go... You have gotten my "get out there and hike" mentality rolling again. I bet it was very pretty out there. Sounds so great.

Enjoy the opera! Sweet - and Rusty gets his own version. Perfect, it will have him prepped and ready to sing at Shadow's party.

Great AMPS again! Rusty is so well regulated. I think we'll be starting Lev in about a week. I hope it helps to even Tess out like Rusty is.

Nice day you have planned, we have to settle for the broadcast, but at least we get that now. Our closest theater is Santa Barbara.

Hi again, The Met opera on HD in the movie theater was really good. And Rusty seemed to enjoy listening to it on the Met radio broadcast, too. He saved most his food until we got home and then proceeded to eat it an hour before PMPS, so I think the PMPS 98 may have a bit of food behind it. Now we are settling into our usual Saturday night routine: "Traditions in Swing"--a great radio program from the Columbia University station (via the Internet) (tonight featuring the late '20s-early '30s recordings of the bands of Earl "Father" Hines, Chick Webb, and Jimmie Lunceford). Later: a classic movie on TV.
Everyone have a good evening. The OTJ party in Texas for Shadow is in full swing and Rusty is no doubt working the grill.

p.s. to Carolyn: just saw your post. GREAT picture! The "lead" singer looks a lot like Rusty! I read in Ele's and Blackie's condo that you were out ice climbing today for the first time in a few years. That's great!! You are so right: enjoy the winter by going out and playing in the ice and snow. Carry on! How's Duchess doing? Sending hugs to you both.

and what i would give to say that a 98 is part food spike! That is just way too cool! Rusty - you are just the best.
