It looks like Tinkles surfed high green and blue last night. He wants to keep me busy today, I'll be monitoring closely. Thank goodness I can be home to stay on top of this cycle! Normally I'm not home Saturday morning.

WCR: Tinkles is himself this morning, no clues that he was dropping fast. No URI symptoms, so it looks like the lysine is working so far, whew! I really don't want to go through another chronic URI with him, it took several months to clear up his URI last time....I'm convinced that it never would have cleared up without the switch to Lantus, along with 2 long courses of Azithromycin. I'm continuing to be vigilant in watching for symptoms.

There's about 6 or 7 inches of fluffy snow here, it's beautiful! Have a great Saturday!

I gave him another tsp 12% + karo and will recheck after 30 minutes. If he is lower, I'll get out the 24% HC. It often takes a little more than 30 minutes for the 12%+karo to really kick in, so I'm holding off to see if it will do the trick. Since he is still in the mid 50s, and the last two tests are within meter variation, he has room and this could be a surf.

I've dealt with many situations with low numbers with Mr Tinkles, so I'm being conservative because I know how he usually reacts. However, since it is early in the cycle, I am monitoring closely in case I need to intervene more aggressively.

+4~51, gave 24% gravy + karo, +4.33~67, gave more gravy. I have to leave, DH will be monitoring but he does not do computers. I'll update when I get home...he's in good hands.

Tinkles got a good boost from the gravy, DH tested hourly while I was gone. Now that I'm back, he's back down to the 70s...perfect timing! :mrgreen:

Wow - what a great set of cycles! Funny how they always give us beans a break when we need to be gone. Sure looks like the 24% did the trick. Curious - what do you feed that is 24% gravy?

Thanks everybody! He is still dropping a little, I will be watching closely again.

Michelle...I use 9 Lives Tender Slices with real beef in gravy for HC gravy, it's 24%. There are other flavors that are also 24%. I've tried the chicken but I don't like it as well as the beef, because the food disintegrates more when you strain the gravy out. I use it because it's high carb, so big guns, and it has a lot of gravy and is pretty easy to separate.

The snow has stopped for us, I bet there is still lake effect snow west of us....but we are not affected by lake effect snow because we are in the eastern section of the state.

Very nice numbers today for Mr. Tinkles. Way to go Mr. T...ya got the good stuff. Woot.
