Ouch bounce this morning 🙅‍♀️

glad she came back down. Need to lose the darned pinkies.

Finally heard back from the vet yesterday about her T4. It came down, but not enough. So up we go with a dose of 5 mg 2x daily of methimazole pills.
Hoping she tolerates it ok. We will recheck labs again the second week of February 😭

I asked for a copy of the labs and the office can't seem to locate them at the moment.
The vet told me there was some kind of "mix up" at the lab and when they called yesterday looking for the results the lab was going to throw out her bloods (WTFFFFFF????)

He was like, noooo, don't do that!!!

It's such an ordeal to get her blood....jeeszzzz.
Why is everyone so incompetent???

So I am waiting "patiently" for the labs to appear in my inbox...9 days later....waiting....very frustrated.

Miss Ivy took herself to a sunny chair in my bedroom for an afternoon siesta today🥰

She may be inching toward another increase soon...let's see what she thinks.

Glad she slipped down out of those stinkies.
I hope she responds well to the increase in methimazole and that they get her numbers where you want.

I cannot believe those idiots almost threw out Ivy's bloodwork. I swear. Thank goodness she has such a good advocate in you, Ivy!

How do you administer the pills? I'm sorry if this is repeat information and I'm just forgetting! Since I know how spicy your little queen can be, I'm curious what works with her (partly motivated by how completely stumped I am with Gen).

why don't they have a handle on her stuff? just ugh.. WHY ARE THEY INCOMPETENT. yes. terrible.. im sorry it was like that. least they saved the samples........ 🤡

peanut is sitting in the sun too here.. they love that. 🥰

looking into phosphorus binders.. did you ever need to use those?
 
Happy to see our Queen Ivy dropped those stinky pinkies and moved on to other colors. Lets just hope she doesn't want to try the entire rainbow and gives you a break tonight.

Also the incompetence at the lab 😤🤬
Thank goodness they didn't throw away her blood samples. And I'm sorry you have to take her back again in Feb for more tests. I know how stressful this is for both of you.

Uh!!! For something as important as the labs, that's so frustrating. I hope they send them over sooner... thank goodness they didn't toss her blood - why would they have thought to do that!?

Good luck with the new thyroid dose. Hope it does the trick for her 🍃 🤗

Unreal about the blood, right? 🤬
I put the small pills on a pill pocket and luckily she will eat that.
If I’m in a real pinch, I am able to pill her, but I’d hate to have to do that twice a day every day if I don’t have to.

I’m glad your peanut spent the day sunbathing. I hope that made him feel really good. 😻

I have used a phosphorus binder in the past, they had me stop it because her CKD labs look OK right now, but I used it for many years.
I used the one from thriving pets.
Give your sweet peanut a kiss from me 💓
