We're a boring bunch. Nothing interesting to report this morning, boring is good :-D
Gotta wait for nadir to get to WalMart for strips. I tried yesterday, but didn't trust him not to drop suddenly.

Sienne, in answer to last night's queston. His SS is filled in from Nov. I just recently starting filling in the Excel sheet, from his daily journal.

Still trying to understand bounces. He can't be still bouncing from a 29, four days ago??

Do I need more patience, more insulin, less insulin?

there must be one heckuva party going on on the upper floors - Mannie has headed there too. :roll: :roll: Cats! That 493 makes me wonder what low he went today. I don't think it is from 4 days ago, maybe he hit a low one today.... That has got to be one of the better bouncy numbers I've seen. Come on down Checks!

I never thought of that, Michelle. I was out for three hours. He's been known to drop a hundred points in a couple hours. He wouldn't have come back up that fast tho.....I wouldn't think.

Gosh that's awfully high for a bounce. Could he have gotten into any kind of contraband? (HC food, kibble, etc?)

Well I don't have excel and can't take a look at your SS.

But...I can share this with you. Atlas used to get what I called ''flash drops." In fact when I first started posting it was a very frustrating topic to deal with as some of our best thought it was my meter or testing skills and not the cat. That said a several recordings of these "flash drops," a drop in BG that happens very quickly and then the cat rockets back up ...that literally if you are not actually testing for it...it will be missed!

What the problem was Attie's feeding times and amounts needed to be regulated too! :roll: Hence the advent into our lives of the timed feeder. He doesn't need the feeder anymore and the flash drops have long since stopped but it is a glitch in the works of the balancing act between food and insulin.

I swear, I'm not starving, then stuffing him. He eats lc snacks throughout the day. Slow and steady.

Beth, I saw your response after I wrote that. I was afraid someone would think I was giving HC snacks.


I didn't know you needed excel to see someone's spreadsheet. I can't do Google.....sorry.

LOL...I wasn't trying to accuse you of doing anything wrong. Attie was just my example.

Here is another thought...is Checker's pancreas starting to work? Which would trigger a drop in BG a short time after eating?

Beth, I understood. :-D I wrote that, before you did. :-D

He was OTJ, for three months last summer. Because of health reasons, he started climbing again. The problems have been resolved, and I'm just trying to get him into nice numbers again.....not trying for OTJ right now.
