Good Morning LL! Tess is being a little tease just hovering above the greens. :roll: We could still see some later this afternoon, but for now these are pretty nice numbers.

Today is the 3rd anniversary of Tess's dx. What can I say, I didn't really believe we would still be here in the beginning. When we got here I saw members who had been dealing w/ FD for 3 years and thought, OMG how can they keep it up that long? Like everyone else I was sure Tess would be a cat who went into remission after just a few months on insulin and it did look that way at first. But she seems to like it here, so here we stay w/ all our new friends. Without FDMB I doubt if Tess (or we) would have survived. Thank you all so much! For the newbies reading this, it does get easier! LL is so supporting that all the things we need to do and remember become second nature. You may not need to stay, but thank you to all who do and keep paying it forward!

As others have said, this disease is nothing one would wish for, but it does increase the bond with our little furballs and make us aware of everything about them.

WCR All 5 Ps, Clean Plate Club, Tess doesn't think the day is any different than usual and daddy's nap is the perfect place for a post breffis nap.

Happy 3rd Annifursary! What lovely sentiments, Ann. I agree - while we would wish this disease on no one, there are some definite pros that make it a blessing in disguise, one of which is this FDMB family. What a fantastic start for Tess today. Have a good one.

Hi guys and happy 3rd anniversary here! So many of us believe the same, "well, our cat will only be here a few short months" .. instead, they love LL too much to leave .. thankfully, this is such a wonderful supporting site it makes dealing with FD so much easier .. have a great day guys!

Happy 3rd Anniversary! It is a bittersweet (no pun intended) milestone. Been there; done that and like you, I thought we'd be a short timer. I guess we're needed to provide some "institutional' memory.

HAPPY 3YR ANNIFURSARY! has it really been three years??? omg... well we are well into hitting the 5 year mark in May, and for us it seems like yesterday that we started this journey. I cannot agree more with what you wrote about finding this place and the wellness of out furkids. I know without it Mannie would not be here today. It was a rough beginning for us, and I so share your sentiment: LL is great - thank you all our new friends here.

it is a good start for Tess today - surf well little one - keep an eye on Mannie. He seems to want to do some deep sea diving... I keep hearing this whisper... mermaids....

Happy 3rd Annifursary. Only we all understand what that means. Yes, we'd have all hoped to to have our kitties in remission early on. But three years later, Tess is healthy and happy even with diabetes. She has amazing beans to give to each and every person in LL. You helped me immensely through our newbie days and you help many, many others as well.

And, personally, I think "never say never". She just might fool us all but she is celebrating today with good numbers.

Your sentiments are mine, too, Ann. We are so lucky to have the FDMB. At the end of next week I'll also be observing my 3rd anniversary on the board. Stu had been dx much earlier--in 2006--, but I was totally ignorant, shot PZI-Vet blind, and didn't find this board until his new vet had put him so overdose on Lantus that we almost lost him. The FDMB was an eye-opener: so much help, so much kindness and compassion here.

Enjoy your anniversary and give Tess some special scritches from us. I'll bet she'll have some nice treats tonight. Maybe there will be a party at the lagoon!

I have a different view of your anniversary~~Of course, none of us wanted FD for our babies, but they had it, and we, out of love, took incredible care of them...SO, Tess was well for the past 3 years while being given love,insulin,more hugs, more scritches, more care than most kitties get..And a whole Wondeful Land where she & her mom bean could find a new loving Family. Out of Bad, comes Good, and how we Love our Tess & Ann here in Lantus Land!

Thank you everyone, I think you are my closest friends. It's amazing to feel many of my closest friends are people I have never met! :-D :-D :lol: :lol:

Tess is indeed a healthy happy kitty and all thanks to the board and all of you. We call this home and Tess, we can still stick around even if you do decide to go OTJ, so don't let that stop you! ;-)

Tess got some new treats today, PetNaturals of Vermont, Urinary Tract Support. Tess gives them 2 paws up for taste! It has cranberry extract and d-Mannose which is supposed to help prevent UTI. We'll see, st least she likes them and I haven't seen a BG bump, today has been absolutely FLAT!
