Yesterday, more yellow and blue, but at least she found low blue.

As I commented late last night, Neko's been looking a bit stiff lately. She aborted a jump onto daddybeans lap on the sofa yesterday evening, and I haven't seen her hop onto the kitchen counters for several days now. Although that's good for the counters, I think she's feeling sore. We have a vetty appointment in an hour to review. I meant to talk to the vet about this at the last wellness exam, but the sore gum she noticed distracted me. I wonder if Neko's feeling sore and that's what is affecting her numbers lately. I've been spending the day reviewing articles on acromegaly and pain management. :sad:

Sending prayers that you have a good vetty visit and they can give you something to help Neko feel better.

We got back from the vet, a very quick appointment. Neko got her first Cartrophen injection and I brought home another pre loaded syringe for next week. We discussed buying a vial, but it's not cost effective for a cat. Vet didn't think they could get Adequan, but had heard of it. I had a good discussion with the vet about pain relief. I had printed off the notes from Dr. Lunn but vetty was in agreement with it all. :-D And I gave her a copy of this years FDMB High Dose Calendar that has Neko on the front cover.

@Carla - Vet visit was good. It'll take a couple weeks to see if this works. I'd much prefer cartrophen as it's a more natural solution. Otherwise it's a maintenance dose of bupe.

I'm glad your vet has such an open mind and took such prompt action.

FFI, Adequan is a brand name for polysulfated glycosaminoglycan. When I was looking into it I found 2 other brands (same concentration and active ingredient), Ichon and Chondroprotec. Maybe one of them is available in Canada.

Good luck with the Cartrophen for Neko, thanks so much for your help with Chyna and I on it :-D My vet did say their supplier can get Adequan, but it is out of stock right now. So that may have been an option if there wasn't a shortage, but paws crossed that this will help both our furbabies feel and walk much better cat_pet_icon . Hope your evening is going great!

Way to turn that around, Neko! I hope the Cartrophen does the trick, paws crossed.
