Good morning LL! Muffin had 2 great cycles yesterday. Blues for the majority of the day and then down into green last night after her dosecrease to .5u. This morning she's back in the yellow again. No pred for her today, as she now starts the every other day phase. I so can't wait to be done with that.

I think I'm getting the cold - sore throat has swollen up - feels like I have a tangerine in my throat. Ugh!

Hi guys .. beautiful cycles for sure! And I'm sure muffin won't be hanging out in the sun for too long, lots of kitties down in the lagoon today .. Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well . .that stuf sure is going around .. have a great day and rest up!

Better and better! She will be back to blue in no time and w/ a reducie too! :-D :-D Take care of yourself! Lots of OJ and Zicam, just not together. Rest too! A little now or a lot later!

Come on down Miss Muffin. It will be interesting to see how getting the pred EOD affects her numbers.

I'm so sorry you are getting sick. Try Mary's remedy of a long, hot bath. I think it worked wonders. Believe me, this stuff likes to hang on so be good to yourself.

+9 189. We have blue! I didn't expect this - figured it going to be a yellow day. Instead it looks like we've got a nice slow slide. I hope it keeps up and she can find green tonight. Maybe I'll get that active cycle I was ready for last night. :lol:

Pmps 345! What happened to that nice slide, Muffin? I'm back to using the ReliOn Micro now, as I was able to get out and get strips for it. Wonder if that's part of it. I didn't think to check with both meters, maybe I'll do that at the next test. Wondering if maybe this insulin is toast...it's the same vial I bought back in September. It looks fine, tho, I did check it before I started using it. If she doesn't level out after the pred course is done with, I'll have to try new insulin. Hopefully it's just the pred.
 
Ok, I used both meters this time, and the ReliOn said 384, while the True2Go said 272. So that probably explains the huge jump at pmps. Unfortunately, that also might mean that her last 3 cycles were not as good as they appear to be. I hate using multiple meters, it's enough to drive a bean crazy! So I'll just carry on with the ReliOn, since that's what I'm used to using. Maybe I'll buy a new ReliOn, just to feel more comfortable that it's accurate.
 
We've been having this discussion in another condo about meters. The bottom line is pick one and stick with it. I wouldn't compare meters.

I think I understood that you were out of strips for the Relion. I have two One Touch ultra minis and a Contour. I primarily use the OTs as my primary and secondary meters and if I have to retest, then im using the same type of meter. its amazing to me how close they always read and quite often even give me the same number. And I reorder strips when I'm down to 200.

You should be in bed with a big swig of NyQuil like me :-D Ni Ni. Better numbers tomorrow!
