Good day everyone!

Morgaine's vet called with the good news that her urine culture was negative for any infection!!

So, with all that clarity of being medically sound, we are going to try prozac. She wants to have it compounded for her so I will go that route for now. someone said they just get prozac for humans and give a kitty dose. I am going to start with this and do some research about it all. She is having it compounded for me at a pharmacy in Phoenix and it will be sent to me. Meanwhile I will still try the Rescue Remedy first. This AM we had 1 pee on the pad and 1 on the rug.

At least her AMPS was a lovely 129. I am off to a Dr. appt. for a follow up from my procedure so I will check in later and visit some condos.

Sending prayers and healing vines to all in need.

That is a lovely AMPS. Great news of no infection! I'm hoping prozac will give her a fresh outlook on life and the advantages of using the LB.

Re: 1/7 Morgaine AMPS 129

Yay for no infection! Great AMPS today for Morgaine!

We always had Tarragon's prozac compounded at a pharmacy here. I have never heard anyone else who has given it, so I'm not sure about using human prozac. It did help mellow Tarragon out and keep him from being so keyed up, which is what we think was causing the inappropriate elimination. We had just gotten Charlie and he was a 3 month old lab puppy. He was full of energy and unpredictable and Tarragon did not like that at all or him at that time. Hope it works for you!

Have a great day Rosalie!

Yay for no UTI! Good luck with the Prozac, I think it could do more good than harm at this point. We use the human tablets and cut them into quarters, not as easy to give as the compounded stuff but we can get a 4 month supply for $10 so we live with it

Nice AMPS for Morgaine!!

Re: 1/7 Morgaine AMPS 129

Great vetty report! It is always such a relief to know things are okay. Paws crossed the new regime helps with LB issues.

I like the flat blue we are getting today. I was concerned since I was gone all afternoon but her feeder fed her and she was a nice 133 at +6. When I left she was once again staring at the ticking feeder, waiting for it to open and present her with her fuds.

Prozac is on its way. Of course it can take a while, up to 4 weeks, to work if it is going to work. Meanwhile the Rescue Remedy will be tried first. I received the Bissell cleaner today and now i have to assemble it. Wish me luck with that.
The steam cleaner is very light weight and should not present a problem for me.

Melissa and Bailey, I will try the compounded this time and if it works well for my girl, I may ask the vet for a regular prescription and then do what you are doing.

Thanks for the good wishes from all of you! I am hopeful that we will get a good result from one of these options. I believe that as long as we do whatever is needed and try all options, things work out. It IS wonderful to know that Morgaine is doing so well medically. The other possibility is that she won't use the box because her neuropathy is so painful that walking on the litter feels uncomfortable.

All is well with me and my check up. I love this Dr. He had all his films from the arteriogram he did in the OR to show me where my artery was blocked and what it looked like after he did his magic angioplasty and stent. In my next life i will be a Dr. since it all fascinates me so much.
