Well, I was so out of sorts this morning I forgot to do an AM glucose test.
Then off to the vet we went. When we got there the vet said he didn't want to do a dental on Mocha and instead wanted to do blood work. He thinks something else is causing Mocha to loose his appetite. He did scrap some tartar off Mocha's teeth while he was there, but didn't put him under to do it. I know that isn't what is recommended in the dental links on the forum, but I am willing to listen to this new vet...*for now*. He IS suppose to be the cat specialist at this particular clinic. Once again, he is yet another vet who thinks I test too often, but oh well. We've heard that one before.
But anyways, right now I am feeling torn; happy that Mocha's teeth weren't as bad as I thought they would be, but also upset that something else might be wrong with him -or- this vet is off the mark and I need to think about finding a different vet. There IS a special cat clinic in the same town, whose clinic cat is a sugar kitty.
