Good Afternoon LL!! Our prayers and thoughts are with Tifil and Isil, Sid and Lydia, Rocket and Claudia and any others who need them today.

Scratching our heads and trying to figure out what is going on here....after 23 cycles of almost all blue/green, Gracie popped up hugely and quickly last night. Looks like a bounce but we do not know from what and she's been in the 30s in the last few doses and didn't bounce this hard or long. We wonder if we've missed a low number somewhere but with all the testing we've done....can't figure out where it would be. We've wracked our brains to think if she could have gotten into anything but there is just no way....we watch feeding too closely and we do not keep any dry food in the house at all. I know I did not give a fur shot. The good thing is, she seems to be happy and acts like there is no difference so I guess she isn't feeling it and I hope the numbers come down before she does. So....the FD dance just gets more challenging again. Patience pants dug out of the closet and donned.

OT: Here is a photo of where we hiked to yesterday in Ventana Canyon.

Have a great day!

Re: 1/6 Gracie AMPS 298

Gracie, hold your horses! What are you doing up there?? Wow, that is a shocker. Hope she finds those nice blues and greens soon. Beautiful day and beautiful hike. Water in AZ is always a treat.

Re: 1/6 Gracie AMPS 298

Sometimes a girl just gets bored and wants to see the world from a different perspective. OK Gracie, now you've seen the world through rose colored glasses, come back to reality.

Beautiful pic! Thanks for sharing.

Re: 1/6 Gracie AMPS 298

Only Gracie knows why and she ain't sayin'! Lovely pic of the canyon.

Enjoy the evening and the weekend, guys, and remind Tobey that he is my "other" best boy, not my "second-best" boy!!

Re: 1/6 Gracie AMPS 298

Gracie! What are you doing? They only left you for a few hours! Or are you mad they did not let you go hiking too?

Re: 1/6 Gracie AMPS 298 +3 298 +8.5 284 +10.5 264

So now we are wondering if the culprit is not that she dropped low yesterday but that she dropped too fast. Very possible.....ai yi yi.....we thought at 180, she was ok for a few hours since she hasn't done any diving lately. Looks like we
could have been wrongo.

Liz: Exactly what we said last night!!! Sick to our tummies over that surprise number. Yes...it was a gorgeous hike.

Celi: wow....I am certain one of our kitties hiking with us would get eaten. Mountain lions have been frequently spotted in Ventana Canyon. In fact, Mike says he doesn't have to worry about them because he only has to run faster than me, not faster than the mountain lion

Linda: I love your positive attitude. I need to put on some of those glass half full glasses!!

Ella: So true. Ok...I have told Tobey and he is grinning!

Ann: Boy, as wonderful as it was, I'm beginning to think we'd been better off chillin' here but not sure if we would have caught it even then....

We saw Tobey's cousin on the Feb Cat Fancy! Very handsome fellow but not as handsome as Tobes, IMO. :-D

Re: 1/6 Gracie PMPS 236

Much better baby girl. Now...nice and easy back to those greens and blues...no more zoom zoom down.

Liz: Thanks!!! We absolutely think so, too.

Time for our walk. BBL :-D

Re: 1/6 Gracie PMPS 236

Gorgeous pic of the hike in Ventana Canyon! I hope Gracie comes down nice and slow tonight and no drama. Have a good night.

Re: 1/6 Gracie PMPS 236

Looks like Gracie is exercising her rights as a cat to confuse the beans as much as possible. Very happy to hear that Gracie is happy, regardless of the numbers!

Gorgeous picture of the canyon!

BTW, being in Tucson, do you feel the effects of the Tucson bead, gem, and mineral shows that hit later this month? My two business partners have gone every year for the past 7 years...I hear it really turns the city upside down! I admit that the only reason I've never gone is I'm a bit wimpy about flying...I'm happy to stay home and tend to the store while they're out there. Of course, if I thought ahead, I would've made the effort to go this year, so I could meet you guys! Hindsight is 20/20...and there's always next year!

Have a lovely evening!!

Re: 1/6 Gracie PMPS 236

Amy, Mike is a pilot. He can tell you how safe it is to fly. I don't like flying either but I always feel better after meeting a nice, calm pilot!
Liz

Re: 1/6 Gracie PMPS 236 +1.5 186

Yeah, I knew Mike is a pilot. I also know that flying is safer than driving, and my "fear" is irrational. I think it stems from 2 things: I used to fly all the time when I was in college. One time, I flew home with my roomie who was terrified...I think she "damaged" me during that flight! Also, I'm a control freak (which has only gotten worse with age  !), and obviously I wouldn't be in control of the plane. However, I've always said I wouldn't let my fear prevent me from going some place I really want to go...so getting a on a plane isn't completely out of the realm of possiblity.

So relieved to see Gracie back in blue...mamabean is overcautious tonight.

Amy: we live a fur piece from downtown so the gem show doesn't affect us. We just stay in our "hood"  As far as flying, I just read an article that the last several years have had record lows on airplane incidents!! You could always fly Southwest....GREAT safety record. You'd love Tucson!

Liz: Mike said "thank you"!! Calm would be an understatement about him
