Good news, keyboard again working for now.
It just freaks me out, what if that happened when I really needed help here? I can access FDMB on my phone, thank goodness.
 
Taffy has developed a little smaller-than-a pea sized bump on one of his ears where I had given him a bad poke (not near the edge). Should I do anything? It's already been there about two weeks, no changes.

Could it be a hematoma? If so, might take a while for the blood to reabsorb. Don't know much about medical stuff so hopefully someone else will weigh in.

Yes. Def looks like a bouncy night! I'll set some alarms for wee hours, but sleep will be enjoyed. I used to be a night person before FD...now I cherish every minute of sleep I can get!

Yes, that is what I thought it is. I should've asked the vet when I had him in for his $650 visit, but I forgot to mention it. :facepalm: It has not changed though, so Idk if I should keep waiting. As long as it doesn't look infected or anything, though, I don't think that I would make a vet trip just for the bump. If it is harmless, we'll just consider it a "battle scar" of the sugar dance.

Usually if I'm certain it's a bounce I will take the night off from more testing. Advice given by the sages.
I can usually tell by the +2 number.
Of course if you aren't sure or you need to get up to feed Taffy anyway, more testing more can't hurt.
 
Might just be a bit of scar tissue if it doesn't go down. Gussie had some pretty battle scarred ears. One you can still feel has some scar tissue, thickening. He really does not like that ear tested. I have heard that it hurts to poke in it and if his reaction is any indication I'd be inclined to agree.

Yes, we'll see how it goes. Sometimes I intend to wake up to get a test in, for data's sake, but then I am so groggy, I can't pull it off!

IF you happen to get up to "use the facilities" and can grab a test, that's great, but I wouldn't feel like you really need to set an alarm or anything tonight

A lot of us drink a big glass of water before bed just so we DO have to get up ;)

I guess it was about a week ago, when Taffy wouldn't eat much. He had low elevated panc enzymes and got the works injection-wise (Cerenia, pepcid, Bs, bupe). Good news was that his liver markers were not elevated and his kidney numbers are still good. Dummy me forgot to get the ear bump checked out!

I have several busy days in a row starting tomorrow, so I am hoping that Taffy cooperates and that civ brother Baby stays well and keeps eating well, too!!! I don't have time for the food circus!!! :rolleyes:
