LagoonMeister Rusty was patrolling the deep end today, but I guess all is OK there, since he's back near shore. He slept all night last night and forgot to eat, wasn't interested in breakfast, but lunch and +9 snack were eaten readily. He's waiting on us to sit with him before beginning his dinner.
Cold, snowy, and blustery today. The western edge of the Adirondacks and an area called the Tug Hill Plateau are getting 2 - 3 feet of snow. We'll get a little of that, so skiing and snowshoeing should be good this weekend.
Today was a day of chores: paperwork, some food shopping.
Last night's showing of "Reds" has to be rescheduled because the Netflix DVD had a huge gouge in it. So our group watched "Rear Window" instead. Hadn't seen it in ages. It really is a good movie, Hitchcock's best, I think.

Hoping all is well in L&LL,

How can you forget to eat Rusty? Fuds is good! They help you stay away from the sharks.

We are on "yet more" snow watch here too. :arghh: I want my typical Vancouver winter back.

I'll bet you're itching to get back rowing! Glad that you can thaw out the hummingbird food. The only birds we have at our feeders this winter are chickadees and nuthatches.
Enjoy the snow!
We are! Happy New Year Liz & Anne! Thanks for your e mail.

Rusty got a slightly short shot this evening (unintentional), but I'm thinking I should take his dose back down--maybe half way between the skinny 1/4 and the fat 1/8. What will I call it??

'night everyone

Ella, you go to the fathom events live from the Met right? Did you see that you can subscribe now to streaming of the Met programs? If you are interested I'll share the link!

Wow, Rusty! You sure did a thorough job patrolling the deep end of the lagoon today! Good to see you on the job. But do remember to eat your fuds. You need that energy to keep all the diving kitties safe!

Great that you're finally getting some good snow, Ella. We are getting rain, rain and more rain. We're on a two day break right now after more than an inch in the past couple of days, but there are two big storms predicted for this weekend that could bring around 3-5 inches to our area, and more in the Sierra foothills. Guess all that praying for rain we've been doing has paid off. Anyone know where we can find blueprints for an ark?

we're getting snow too.... it's wonderful.....

i'll try to scan the house this weekend for those syringes..... if I'm here....
if we get enough snow.... we may run off to ski.

Much more important--and fun--to go skiing! Thanks, Rhiannon

Thanks, Les. Yes, I know about Met streaming, etc. (I am a member of the Metropolitan Opera Guild and get endless e mails from the Met). Next to seeing an opera in the opera house, the Met in HD is the best venue because it is on the large screen. But if one can't get to either the house or the movie theater, streaming would be great. Thanks for thinking of us.
