Happy New Year LL!!

Muffin is ringing in the new year properly, with her first test of 2012 a 75! I'm so proud of my Little One. After her mysterious infection last month, she remains healthy and happy. Her "feed me" antics of knocking things over on the desk have picked up a little lately, and her dish has ended up on the floor a couple of times, but no breaking! She's taken to heading out back every morning again, for a little grass appetizer, or sometimes just to roll around. :-D So cute! She's also taking some time to herself to play in the front room again! (while the kittens are locked up having breffis) It just warms my heart when she plays. This morning Muffin was already eating breffis when I remembered it was test day, so I went into the next room to get the stuff ready. She heard me and left breffis to come in and get tested. She still has the routine down and is still enormously cooperative. cat_pet_icon What a sweet girl she is, and I'm so very blessed to have her in my life.

Cleetus and Oscar are 8 1/2 months old now, and growing up so fast. We look at them and just can't believe how big they've gotten. They fit in the palms of our hands when they first came to us. Oscar is nearly 8.5 lbs now and Cleetus is just over 9 lbs! Oscar is getting more and more affectionate as he grows up, coming for loves and scritches several times a day, in addition to the early morning cuddles. Both of them are seeking to be in the same room as either DS or myself a bit more often now, too. Cleetus is so definitely a Daddy's boy (very much DS's cat) but he has begun to realize I'm good for a little more than just having thumbs. :-D Like...I have an electric blanket too!  And he still comes just about every night for his game of undercover monster. He's actually purred for me a couple times too! He's so funny, the second DS touches him, he starts purring away, but he never purrs for me, even when he allows me to love on him for a minute. It's odd for me to not be #1 with an animal in the house, but it's ok, I'm really thrilled for DS getting to experience being the favorite, and he loves it too.

Shnookie's diet got let go a bit over the holidays, and he was fed extra food (it's only fair, right?) But at weigh in time, he's still down an ounce and a half, to 18 lbs 9 oz. Go Shnookie! Kibby seems to be a bit MORE irritated with the kittens lately, and Sam still refuses to come inside, so another session with the animal communicator may be in the cards soon.

The weather here has been record-making warm so far this year, after the 3rd dryest (is that a word? ) December in history. I'm ok with the warm part, but sure wish it would rain!

Your condo is wonderful to read, Anne, and it made me smile. Happy kitties make me happy too! It sounds like a great start to the new year, and I hope it stays that way for you. :YMHUG:

Hi Anne, so nice to read your condo and see how well Muffin is doing and the whole kitty family. That is so cute Muffin still has the routine down; they never forget and amaze me. What a wonderful way to start the New Year.

(((Anne))): so great to hear a WMR!!! So glad your darling girl is doing so fantastic...great BG! I love Muffin slamming the dishes to the floor stories!! I'll never forget last year when she broke her dish.

Glad to hear all the kitters are doing well....poor Kibby and Sam. IF they'd just relax and like the kittens.

Always so great to have you do a condo and catch up. Have a very Happy New Year. Hope things go well with Linda.

:-D :-D :-D       SO SO cool to have a Muffin report, and as Ann put it - a great ACR! Things sound very very good there. I enjoyed reading the part about pushing things off the desk - I so remember that. It is nice to know somethings remain unchanged. Great too on the kittens - young ones are such fun! Enjoy! and oh wow on the weather - I will have to send you some of our rain...

WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

MUFFIN, LITTLE LADY...YOU ROCK!!!!!!!

We're late to the party, but what a wonderful report!

sending hugs and scritches from my clan to yours, Anne

Happy OTJ Muffin!! :RAHCAT :RAHCAT :RAHCAT
Love to hear happy reports! The others will learn to love you also, just give the newcomers time!
We always love to hear about Muffin's adventures--Enjoy the Falls & we Lubs you all!! Hugs from us!!

Congratulations Muffin! And glad she didn't break another food dish.
I still laugh at the photo of her chipped and cracked bowl as you switched her from kibble to canned food.
She was so stubborn.

But I'm SO glad you were persistent and now look at this great OTJ anniversary! Well done!

Hi guys .. what a wonderful update to read! So happy all things seem to be going well at your house .. and that muffin is as sweet as ever .. Hope 2012 brings everything you hoped for!

Thanks CD - so good to hear from you! It's 14 months OTJ now, I can hardly believe it!

Roni - Thanks for stopping by. So glad Moonie is feeling better!

Celi- Great pic! Thanks for the hugs and scritches and Rumpy is thrilled with the buttscratches!

Angela- Thank you! Blackie is really looking good all the time! Muffin says she'll have a talk with her...

Michelle - I, too, hope Muffin never stops pushing things off the desk - a trait that is all her own  Please please send some of your rain!

Marje - Kibby was the one who never minded the kittens...until recently. And they, having been raised by humans, are definitely having trouble understanding some of the finer points of feline communication. Like multiple whacks on the head..."are we playing?" They don't back down...they just don't get it. I think Linda needs to tell them to back off the adults again...

Julie - thank you!

Ann - It is amazing to me too, that after more than a year of only once a month testing she still knows exactly what to do.

Randa - Thanks for stopping by, and happy new year to you!

Ann - The kittens have definitely taken over, with the drooler as their back-up (he thinks the kittens are his pack) Never a dull moment!

Anne - Thanks for your support!

Hi Anne and Muffin and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I started to read your condo yesterday, but got distracted and didn't make it back until now. Better late than never! Muffin is doing so well. And the rest of the household!!! All I can say, is WOW! We wish you all a wonderful year ahead: continued good numbers for Muffin, a nice slim Schnookie, kittens that stay adorable as they become cats, and peace and harmony in the house.

Hugs,
Ella & Rusty

Thanks for your visits to Rusty's condo. It's always nice to hear from you.
Muffin, don't forget the full moon party next week!
