Xander ate so well last night. Despite having a very slow morning, he ended up exceeding his daily calories by a good amount. I'm not too sure why his preshot/nadir was so much lower last night, but gave a tiny bit of gravy food and it went back up a bit.

This morning he definitely isn't as ravenously hungry and isn't wandering around for food. He ended up exceeding his usual morning amount but wasn't cleaning every bowl like last night. I'm thinking I should give another dose of mirataz just to be safe, but may give a half dose or less? He seemed pretty uncomfortable last night for a while despite how much food was given.

We will be going for a reassessment tomorrow morning and hopefully the vet thinks all is good. His scruff seems to be bouncing back a lot quicker than it was.

Tomorrow i'll finally be going back to work, which will probably be good for me to keep busy. I ended up taking a 2 week staycation due to how much PTO I had accumulated/due to expire. I hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend!

Hi Albert! Are you also giving him the Ondansetron or Cerenia with the Mirataz? I'm remembering what Wendy said that giving an appetite stimulant when a cat is nauseous can lead to food aversion. Good luck with the vet visit tomorrow. Vines for Xander 🍃 🍃 🍃 🍃
Yes, I'm about to give him a dose of cerenia now. I haven't yet added ondansetron, as I believe the cerenia is working. Maybe he just needed that kick of mirataz to reset. I'm sure the fluids helped with the nausea a lot too

Not too mad after being pilled 😛

Hi Albert, I’m so glad Xander is feeling better.
Wishing you lots of good luck tomorrow at the vet appointment.
I’m glad he behaved so well the other day while there 🥰

And good luck going back to work. Glad you had some time off to recharge and take care of your boy 💓
