You and Max are dealing with multiple issues, not the least of which is that diarrhea and general not feeling well for your poor fellow.
You are doing an excellent job of dealing with all of these issues, diabetes doesn't start in a day and it doesn't end in a day either, it takes patience and the right combination/dose, whatever. Hang in there
, never heard of it LOL!

Thank you.Dear Lori, no, please don't give upYou and Max are dealing with multiple issues, not the least of which is that diarrhea and general not feeling well for your poor fellow.

p.s. I saw where there was a fur shot on 12/31? Could this be affecting his numbers? (I also had to look up what the heck Topsy Turvey was LOL, never heard of it LOL!
I'm not giving up on Max. I give up on me trying to figure out how to help him! He does have multiple issues, acromegaly, diabetes, pancreatitis, IBD, and asthma. It's amazing to me that he is usually in good spirits and playful. When his numbers are high like this though, it hurts my heart to look at him because he looks miserable.I should have known that. I won't check him again until PMPS. It's making me depressed. Thank you.New Dose Wonkiness, or NDW. Very common after increases as a cause of temporary higher numbers. Put away the test kit until PMPS. It could also be the high before the low.![]()

Lord have mercy, that is me for sure. Helicopter momma. Yes it is very hard. I am someone who has lived my life trying to fix everything. The hardest part of FD for me was landing the helicopter momma, especially when numbers were high.
Oh yes @Wendy&Neko always makes me feel better too. Your comments and so many others do as well. At least I don’t feel completely on my own in this having all of you supporting me with good advice and kind words. I really am thankful. But Lori, @Wendy&Neko used to always comfort me and my Tiger by saying that a cat is so much more than their diabetic numbers. It's Purring, Playing, Preening and there's another P-word that I can't remember, the things that are more of a gauge of their overall health. Don't stress, we are all Helicopter Moms, but at some point we just have to have faith in the system.

Thanks Christie! The last of the 5-Ps are peeing and pooping. And so very true, sometimes it's hard to see past the higher numbers, but what goes up inevitably must come down. Take these times where you don't need to test to just give Max some extra loving, and forget that he's diabetic. Sending Max some extra belly rubs and chin scritches

There is no length of time it takes to work that is the same for each cat. SRT neuters the tumour cells, you have to wait for the life cycle to play out. Neko start reductions on the trip home from her SRT (supposedly shouldn't have been that soon), but I've seen cats go on much higher doses for months. Take a look at Eddie's spreadsheet. You just have to be patient. How long does this SRT take to work anyway!? I guess they say months, right? You are almost at three months, aren’t you?
