Morning LL friends,

We are starting off with the same AMPS as yesterday, not a bad yellow start. Let's have the same kinda day as yesterday....ok Leo?

We had a good test, shoot and feed and again the hungry kitty was grateful for any fuds and no fussiness. I was woken up to the kitty alarm about 2 seconds before the real alarm went off. Man, Leo must have a pretty good internal alarm.

I can't believe it's already Wednesday, I have to go back to work in 2 more sleeps....where did the week go? And why did it go so fast? :sad:

Hi Tracy, I hope Leo has a nice cycle today for you. Two more sleeps before tbp! I do the same; a couple short naps so that I don't have that groggy sleep feeling. Glad the diet is still working okay? Maybe Leo could teach Maggie. Have a great day.

Sunny yellow is not a bad start to the day. I also woke to kitty eyes starting at me before the alarm went off. Very funny!

Sounds like Leo has settled into his new diet just fine. Only two more sleeps? That is so sad. I know how much you hate leaving him, but mama's gotta bring home the dough. Have a wonderful couple of days with the big guy!

OT - Mason thinks his aunties are too funny and appreciates you watching out for him. His comment was "You never know!"

Looking good Leo. I too hope you have as a good of a day as you had yesterday.

Love the AM wake up call, and those penetrating staring eyes that make sure we wake up. His timing is right ion target. Good job Leo! Be cool, and stay on that diet!

Perfect repeat of yesterday! I am happy with it! :-D new diet is still going well, I wrote down everything Leo ate yesterday. He ate 7.5 ounces total yesterday and was starving so it's pretty obvious he's been eating a lot more than that recently. I'll strive for the same amount as yesterday. What do other chubby kitties consume in a normal day?

Melissa, how funny Mason took it so well! When you told us he was very shy I thought 'uh oh'!!

Hooray for Leo with those pretty numbers! It sounds like he has you perfectly trained to wake up before your alarm :lol: .

I need to put Henry on a diet, too, but haven't calculated calories yet. With the frequency of feeding Mookie, Henry has been snacking on leftovers in Mookie's dish and gained more than I realized. Now I call him Chunky Monkey instead of Monkey.

I had to go back and catch up on Leo's diet. I always have the opposite problem w/ Tess, keeping her from losing weight. I've always tried to learn the kcal by weight in a can than concentrate on the number of cans. Even w/ the same brand the calories can vary a lot depending on the variety. Are you still trying to feed raw. i find that Tess finds that much more satisfying and filling than the canned food. Patty has had really good results w/ Champ too.

ECID in regards to food too. Marje and I have talked. She feeds Gracie less than i do Tess, but Gracie weighs more and won't lose weight. While Tess refuses to gain even though she is eating more calories! :roll: Max's House is one I found that has a really good chart on the caloric needs of cats, it's about half way down.

The raw was a no go :roll: Leo ate the chicken no problem but as soon as I added the powder and mixed it up he just sniffed and walked away.

I'm trying to find an easy diet solution that me and my parents can follow. If I start adding calories and fuds to the mix my fathers head may explode. :lol: Poor guy has a hard enough time as it is. For the most part Leo eats maybe 4-5 varieties of food. FF, Friskies and sophisticat.

I have such a problem feeding Checkers. He just doesn't care about food.
I always have several open rejected cans of food in the fridge.

LOL...it IS the time of year to start thinking about such things! Yeah, no making DGp's head explode - work with the beans, Leo!

I'm sorry you've only got 2 sleeps left...time really does fly by way too quickly anymore. Enjoy your evening with Leo!

No matter how often you have to leave, I'm sure it's just as hard each time. I seriously don't know how you do it. At least your parents are great caregivers for Leo!! I tried to reduce Champ's amount of food today and it was a no go. He couldn't even nap like he normally does because he was hungry!! I felt so bad I broke down and gave him an extra serving around 1 this afternoon....he's been sleeping like a baby since!! I just took this pic...

Hi Tracy & Leo,
What a nice string of greens for Leo today! Poor guy has to diet? Karrie says that weight loss should be done very gradually. So don't cut down on his fuds too much at one time. Rusty is on a "diet", too, but hasn't been very successful thus far!
Sorry that you have to go back to work, but at least you have an interesting life out there in the field. Your parents are wonderful to take such good care of Leo.

Awwww that is just the most adorable picture of Champ, I love watching them when they sleep :-D That was Leo's situation yesterday, too hungry to even sleep! I caved in and gave him some purebites chicken to shut him up! :lol:

At least I don't bawl my eyes out anymore when I drop Leo off, I used to cry my head off for the first 10 minutes or so :oops: I know how much DGP's love Leo and vice versa, Leo honestly lights up when he sees my dad just like he does when I come home. I couldn't ever take him away from them, they would miss each other too much.

Looks like this momma bean shouldn't have fed Leo 8% fuds for supper, oh well hopefully he comes down a little later.
 
Wow Leo, while I have been wallowing around in inner ear dizzyland, you've been throwing those lovely blue green colors! Wahoo! :mrgreen:
