Yesterday. No cliff diving this morning :). We'll see if Leda's decided to stick to steadier surfing, or if he's just leading me on :p.

Anyone have suggestions for unscented litter? I got a new box of "fragrance free" Arm and Hammer and it stinks to high heaven (when I let Leda in after his postprandial walk last night he came in with a waft of "fragrance" though he's only used the box with new litter once ). I'll see if the store will take it back.

Vines and good health to all, safe surfs for the kitties :D:cat:

I love a nice steady flat surf. :D

I know what you mean about the "scent free" or "light scent" litters. I've smelled some truly gastly ones. I use the Blue Buffalo Naturally Fresh walnut clumping litter (unscented). I have in the past used the World's Best original forumula, also unscented, until Neko decided she liked to snack on corn. They are both almost exactly the same texture, good odor removal, clump well. Of course, the company making Worlds Best decided they had to add scented versions to their line of products.

Thanks, that sounds promising. I'll have to see if anyone in the islands carries it (or maybe I can order it).

The store let me return the Arm and Hammer, so now we're trying some SWheat Scoop wheat based litter. It looks a lot like the chicken crumbles I used previously (I stopped because they didn't clump that well, and were apt to get moldy). The SWheat Scoop has even less of a smell than the crumbles (chicken crumbles smell like the minerals and vitamins added to them--and like chicken food;)).

The critical test, whether Leda will use it, hasn't happened yet, but it certainly passed the sniff test for me :joyful:.

I use Okos Cats Best clumping litter, It's a German brand so might not be available your side of the pond, it's wheat based smells fresh/not scented, great clumping and odour control, and doesn't stick to Georges fur, it's similar to the Worlds Best that Wendy mentioned.

I tried SWheat Scoop for a while, but I found it too dusty. Maybe it was more noticeable having long haired kitties. Otherwise it was great for odour control and clumping. Both the Worlds Best and Naturally Fresh are available at Petsmart. On this side of the border, Worlds Best is easier to find of the two.

That's good, since Leda probably wouldn't eat a wood based one. Thanks for the link!
LOL
with BFG's appetite it's just as well as he'd probably snack on it too.

I've used their original formula too, but swapped to the one I linked above because the finer grains stuck to Georges bottom, he sits quite low when he pees, the pellets don't stick to him.

I use the breeze system and I love it. the urine flows down onto a piddle pad no odor and the pellets have no odor perfect for kitties with asthma. I throw the piddle pad away every other day and wash the entire box at the same time. It is expensive to replace pads every other day. I'm a clean nut and never want to smell LB odors.
