Morning,
Gus ate some food about 3 am (+8). He nibbled at breakfast which beats refusing it.
He is uncomfortable, Bupe T and Zofran onboard.
I am past discouraged. May take a few days off posting as nothing is too positive right now and hate being a "Debby Downer".
Hoping it is a safe day for the kits, work that juice and surf safely. Make your tired Beans smile.:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
Vines for all heading to the vets and those struggling:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Oh Les...what an emotional and all too familiar seesaw, experienced by so many of us here. No wonder you are exhausted and distressed. But you are not a 'Debby Downer' and please don't feel that way and especially here. You are much loved and sharing the worries, or at least knowing that you are not alone, lightens the load.

Catch your breath, yes. Take some time to regroup your inner resources, yes. Get a good night's sleep, yes yes yes! But know that in doing so, we love you and your tribe!

I'm wondering about the cycles of appy on appy off days. Maybe others have mentioned this too, but an aspect of these cycles might be that after the appy good days, Gussie's alimentaries cycle into 'ease up' mode bc body processing and resting, perhaps with some discomfort because of the mending/eating processes themselves.
Don't know if this makes any sense in words whatsoever. But all that you do to help Gussie for his good and not so good appy days also helps him through the not so good days, too. So, please don't berate yourself.

Have you thought more about an ultrasound (even when he is having good days)?❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Les, you are entitled to be Debbie Downer and we will love and support you through it. However, if you need a break to renew, go for it. We have all been there at some time or other.

Meantime, we will send love and vines to you and Gussie. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Ditto. I always look for your condos just to check on you guys, but understand if you need a break (but you need support too) :)

(((Les))), I'm so sorry that Gussie is doing poorly today. I hope he'll perk up as the day goes on. It's good for you to take a break from posting and to try to get some extra sleep. We'll all continue sending those vines and prayers for your boy.
Hugs and scritches,
:bighug::bighug::bighug:

If you need a break, then take a break. However, I agree with the others that we're here for you too. Don't feel you can't post if you don't have anything good to say.

I hope Gussie feels better as the day goes on. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Les, you are not a Debby Downer at all!
We all understand how hard and frustrating and depressing it is trying to deal with #*%^~£{>}><€| pancreatitis! :banghead::banghead:
I think you are doing a very very good job with him. And I know how hard it is when you think you are winning and he takes a step backwards; but I think you are making progress with it.
Take time out if you want....we all understand the need to do that.... but know we are here :bighug:

(((Leslie))) Take a break if you need it. We all understand. :bighug::bighug::bighug: This is the place to vent or not, and "talk" to those who have walked in the same shoes. We get it. I went months stretching for something positive to say. Do what is best for you and Gussie. For something novel, maybe try doing one less pokie. ;) Tons of feeling better vines for Gussie on their way. And a few extra hugs for you. :bighug::bighug:

Hi guys,
Thank you all so much..this is the best place to be no matter what..:bighug::bighug::bighug:
After a rocky start Gus is eating right now....
Here's a photo because I know you are worrying along with me.

I think we had to get into a more normal rhythm. I had to stop and regear, shake myself, make some order of the house, and change how I was approaching this. I didn't stick 42 cans of food in front of him..I went back to our routine. And the healthy food he should be eating. I told him that we were going to serve healthy food, and that if he ate or not was up to him..entirely his choice. He waited me out and I waited him out...and he ate earlier and ate just now..
Tomorrow may be another tear my hair out day but today was ok..today felt a bit normal for the first time in a long time...and I felt good about shaking off some of the negative cloud..and getting some long neglected things done too.
Your support really helps keep me from making bad decisions from bad places and that is so appreciated:bighug::bighug::bighug:
Thank you all for all of your kindness:bighug::bighug:

Ha, like I said before I love seeing Gussie face down in a plate of food -almost as much as if I were his own mama!
Glad your approach to feeding yielded good results. Tough love right there. LOL
It's always good to regain some balance in your life wherever, however and whenever you can.
Always happy to see you
