Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday :) It's been a few days since Bear went down to his .5 reduction. His numbers are beginning to look a little higher but his Nadir's still seem like they're reaching a comfortable low. Wondering if I should keep him on this dose or try increasing again? He goes back to the specialist tomorrow for his recheck.

Thank you!

Oh also - looking at carb charts and I remember @Diane Tyler's Mom saying you should look at the dry-basis number? What does this number mean and what is the difference between it and the as-fed number?
Hi Meredith
I copied this from what one of our members said
Sharing it here for easy reference (only including the "dry matter" chart since it's the one to follow):

This is what one of our members said
Found this too by Bhooma
as fed basis" - that is including the moisture content. the carb% on a dry matter basis is the actual carb% (with the moisture not considered).

The following is what I am saying
Our food chart by Dr Lisa goes by as fed but some say you can go by that , can't be that far off
To tell you the truth it's confusing to me also
@Meredith Bear’s Mom

Which Tiki Cat are you feeding?

Don't know if your kitty likes pate but here is the list of the BFF line.

This is right from the Weruva site it's correct
@Meredith Bear’s Mom

If you ever want to look up food on the Weruva site here is what you would go by

With weruva foods
You want the metabolizable energy profile percentage of carbs to be less than 10%, and the phosphorus which Weruva lists in Minerals to be less than 250 mg per 100 cals. So you have to look at two different places in the Weruva charts.
https://weruva.com

When you go to the weruva site and click on one of the pics of the food , click on Detailed Nutrition information that is under guaranteed analysis to the left
YOU WANT CARBS UNDER 10% AND PHOSPHORUS IDEALLY LOW 200's OR LESS
