Rusty had a good night snuggling between his beans (it was cold!). Right now he is chillaxing in his perch over the radiator with his front paws on top of the radiator, eating the remainder of his breakfast (which is on top of the radiator!). What a !!
It's a COLD, sunny day and now (11 a.m.) the temperature is still below zero (went down to -14 last night). I had planned (before my tendon/muscle injury) to bushwhack up one of the smaller mountains on snowshoes today with friends. I guess they are out there and enjoying the clear, crisp air.
Our film "society" is having another Werner Herzog night here tonight ("Nosferatu") and one of the men, who is a fabulous cook, is going to make pizzas, bringing all of the ingredients and making them here. I spent the morning clearing workspace on the counter for him! Should be a fun, cozy evening. Chef Rusty will supervise the pizza-making, of course, and will be an excellent host, as always.

That is COLD there! We are low 40's today, and with a dense fog that has not lifted all day. Guess I get to take a fog walk today. I am sorry that your tendon.muscle injury is preventing you from being out in it on snowshoes today. I hope that heals soon and well enough that you can return to this type of activity.

Sorry you missed out on the snowshoeing- but that does seem a bit cold especially with your injury! Rusty has the right idea- sittin' on top of the radiator, waiting for the pizza!

It was a fun evening and the Master Bean Chef's pizzas (he made three large pies) were wonderful: especially the white pizza with special tomato remoulade and fresh basil. The crusts were perfect! Chef Rusty and Paw Prints Pizza Chefs Bug and Lola were taking notes.
The snowshoe bushwhack was postponed because of the weather. Maybe I'll be able to go when it is rescheduled (I have what I thought was a hamstring pull, but I think it is really a tendon; a muscle would not take so long to heal). So I'm working out on the rowing machine and on my bike set up on a wind trainer. Also doing stairs.
See you all tomorrow. The kitties are still partying in the barn. I think the deer family joined them; their beds are in back of the barn and no deer could sleep through that racket!!
Ooh, the white pizza sounds really, really good!! Mmmmm! I ate too much dinner tonight but my mouth is still watering!
Rusty, please tell Cinco not to stay too late tonight. His beans are tired and want to hit the sack early. I can't sleep until he's safely home. Thanks.
