looks like this will be a short bounce for the punkin. he's doing fine today - i ended up off unexpectedly (student not at school) so am trying to catch up on the home front. lets me monitor him too. anya is doing her best to keep me sitting down - she is such a nice warm little bundle that it's nearly impossible for me to get un-cat-locked when she's parked on me.

yesterday i set his auto-feeder to go off at +3 and +4 to keep him high enough for safety since no one was going to be home, but this morning i only had food in the +3 . . . it was good to see that he heard the +4 go off and came upstairs to investigate, just in case there was any FUDS in his feeder. i feel a tiny bit bad that he didn't get a reward for it, but i want to see where his numbers go on this dose without R or extra food messing up the data.

Yay for short bounces Punkin! Way to go. Nice +3. I bet you saw blue today. What a great surprise to have the day off suddenly.

Hope you have a great afternoon & evening Julie!

Just stopping by to say hi and see how Punkin is doing. I have been really busy and not able to keep up but i am thinking about you and hoping Punkin is continuing to make progress.

I'm also stopping by to check on Punkin and I'm glad he is doing well. Heartwarming to imagine him checking to see if he's got any fud in the auto feeder :-D

Hi Julie!! Thanks so much for all that great info in Champ's condo. One of the articles you noted is actually the one I read when I goggled glucose toxicity today. The thing that concerns me is that, looking back, I know for certain that Champ had diabetes at least three full months before I put 2 and 2 together and took him to the vet. After reading these articles, it makes me concerned that he may have been exposed to hyperglycemia for too long without insulin and he has no chance now of going OTJ. Of course, by now, I don't even think along those lines anyway. He's my baby and I'm in this for the long haul, no matter what. But still.....
